however if Rangers get knocked out before us - will Hutt be eligible - I believe that was the possible scenario with Rocha last season

if that is the case - then depends if Hertha still in re Gilberto?

Hutton is ineligible, it's exactly the same situation as Rocha from last season.

Gilberto is eligible as Hertha weren't in Uefa, and neither were Boro.
