Gonna get the thread in early as we've plenty to discuss today

I know this is from before the Colombia match but It's still pretty relevant for today's match

A message for Dele for tonight.
People will hate you, rate you, shake you and break you. But how strong you stand is what makes you.

I absolutely detest post/pre-season - I feel like a spoilt child experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a confiscated toy - but England have been the best possible distraction which very few could have predicted.

For those interested in omens...

The last time England had a Leicester City player in the squad was 1966.

The last time England did better than Germany in the World Cup was 1966.

This World Cup is taking place between an Olympics in Latin America (Brazil) and Japan. The last time a World Cup took place between an Olympics in Japan and Latin America (Mexico) was 1966.

The last time that Russia won their two opening World Cup games was in 1966.

And the last time that Uruguay lost in the Quarter Finals was in 1966.

In summary...

It's coming home.

Please drop Young and Sterling. Please. Sterling has shown that he can run around and nothing else. He's even preventing goals by failing to square it to open players. And Young is up against proper a proper winger today.

Is it just me that's finding the 'It's coming home' thing a bit embarrassing?
Just watching ITV news and the people shown at Hyde Park....arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (n)

I'm a cynical person but I think it's great. This doesn't happen very often. It's nice that people are enjoying it. It's a nice distraction from the Brexit nonsense.

Had to turn over from the news. Find it incredibly cringey.
I might burst into song when we are 3-0 up on Sunday vs France in injury time.

The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge

It's a very long time since I have been this nervous about an England game. 52 years to be precise.
