Liverpool are going to get him, unfortunately. He'd give us some pace on the left but Liverpool won't be trumped twice.

Both footed isnt he but predominantly he uses his right.

On the small amount of him which I've seen, it seems like he's capable with his left but will always choose to go on to his right. Could be useful, but if we're going to presume that Lamela will eventually be occupying our right wing and cutting in, then I don't think we could afford to have two inverted wingers again. Just isn't viable in the premiership imo.

Actually, having just watched this, he only got past Walker once the whole match. Do we need another inverted winger anyway, especially when Tim is no doubt gonna want Townsend on the left? I wouldn't mind if we got him but don't care much if we don't based on the very little I've seen of him

He's very capable with his left. With Townsend out, and developing into a solid RW anyway, we have a serious drop in quality to anyone else playing on the left. Probably more excited about this than I should be, but I love it when we go after players that I spot that I think would be good for us (Eriksen since he played in the 2010 WC, and was banging on about it since the VdV sale so almost jumped out of my skin when I saw we had serious intent).

This guy is good enough for Europe's big leagues, and I'd love for us to be the ones to give him the chance.

@AddictedtoSpurs: Konoplyanka's Agent : "I had yesterday a long important talk with a President of an English Club (Not LFC). My Player could move there too"

Part of me hopes it's Chelsea. They'd have to lock all of RAWK.

Fuck me this is awesome. Why do people hate on the transfer window so much?

How could we seriously justify buying this bloke? Regardless of personal preference to the players people do/don't rate or want to sell on we have currently played Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Townsend, Lamela and Lennon on the left this season.
We need consistency with the squad we have, not keep adding more players with only 18 league games left.

Perhaps we won't have Chadli, Sigurdsson by the end of the window?

He's under the same agent as Koval, a very good young keeper. I would love to bring both of them here

Perhaps your right, my main gripe is with the circus surrounding our transfer policy, we need a consistent Head Coach, formation, and a set plan on players that fit the type of team our head coach wants us to be.
I'm just venting as it all gets a bit silly with us going through players constantly.

Reports say it might have to wait until the summer. If so then CL qualification might make a difference.

If the plan is to go 4-3-3 and let Holtby move, then Siggy and Eriksen become our advanced midfielders. Lennon is crap on the left, and Lamela is best on the right or behind the striker. That leaves Townsend (who could also move to the right) and Chadli, and if there's substance to these rumours then I think there's a good chance that the club rates Konoplyanka higher than both.

Because Eriksen is a defecit to his ability out left; Chadli, Siggy, and Lennon are useless on the left; Townsend is our only useful option out there and even he has become better on the right; and Lamela, well, we'll see what happens there. We could use this kid.
