It'd be really interesting to see a list of the most popular shirt names. I'd imagine Kane has the most but I bet it's tight.

I bet you it isn't... Kane is fast become the FA's poster boy and as he is set to be top scorer in the league all the kids will want Kane.

I bet in adult sizes you could be right, but most people choose a striker, its more glamorous.

Same as others, I love the squad.
I used to be a one player lover ( :cautious: ), but I am finding the prospect of group love far more interesting!

I'd say it's either Kane or Son I see the most when I'm at the Lane. Worldwide I'd imagine it's Son by some distance.

When we signed Toby I was not excited. I even said we needed a quick CB if we were going to stick with the high line defending and that Toby wasn't what we needed. I was so utterly wrong that I now unashamedly name Toby as my favourite player. He has been absolutely superb and I'm scoffing up the humble pie.

I don't have a favourite player because I'm not 8 years old.

If I was though I would have Kane posters all over my room.
I'm 35 and haven't had a favourite player since Jurgen Klinsmann because I grew out of that sort of thing

Until Harry Kane burst on the scene and regressed me back to my school boy days - I'd totally have his posters all over my bedroom wall if the Mrs would allow it

Which is kinda nuts if it is the case.... Surely that wasn't the reason for the purchase?

To be honest though, the whole "favourite player" and growing out of it... I see where you guys come from and a s 36 yr old I understand.

But I see it as there having been times when there were certain players you were happy you saw and grateful that they made up for the utter crud that you had to put up with.

So yeah, Sheringham, Kilimsmann, Berbatov, King, Bale... They lit up my joy for THFC at times when it might otherwise have been a bit gloomy or in some periods, utterly dark.

Not sure about a favourite player, if I was 12 and playing down at the park I would probably be Dele Ali, do all the nice sexy things and then give my brother a sly kick from behind...

It is all about the team though and we have one man to thank for that, Poch. I loved the team under Arry but this one I genuinely feel much closer to - they all seem to care as well, which helps.

I mean it in such a way where by as a kid football and spurs is the most important thing in your life for a time, and I think most kids have a player the idolise and is their hero

I think as an adult other things replace football as being our priorities in life and these players are no longer our heros. We might have players we think are our best players like those you mention in recent times (berba, modric, bale etc) but they're not our hero's like players were when we were kids

I'm saying that harry kane is my hero and I hero worship him like a kid - although what I really mean is he brings that connection to the players back from fans (to me at least) in the modern age of super rich players who freely move from club to club harry kane has reignited that connection for the a player rather than just the team

Harry Kane is an old skool football hero, something that in my eyes has been lost from modern football (VdV's passion for the game was another such player actually)

Dier shaves it for me, I love his committment; aggressive when needed, rarely wreck less and never petulant.

I also love that we can enjoy having Hugo without the nagging thought he wants to be somewhere better. I'd guess I wasn't the only one resigned to the fact this would be his last season for us.

And I still miss Sandro.

I refuse to pick or even think about picking a favourite. Every time I have done it they have been sold, from Gazza through to Modric

Hard to pick one - depending on the alignment of the planets it could be Rose (as per Spurrific), Dier, Lamela or Kane. Alli has potential - Moussa also this year. Special mention for Hugo and Eriksen.

Can't.........pick......one...

Funnily enough I spent half an hour at work today thinking about who I would choose as our player of the year. Normally you would have a couple that would stand out, but I had a list of about 8 that you could make a strong case for. I even discounted Vertonghen and Wimmer as only playing half a season each.

I couldn't come to any final decision, I guess this speaks volumes....
