I don't really see the comparison with Winks at all, where are you lot getting that from? Winks is rapid and moves from midfield well, Tielemans has a ping on him and can actually shoot, unlike Winksy.

Would compliment each other well if we could help Tielemans reach his potential.

Completely agree with this, Yuri is a much better, and more creative a passer and his lack of pace does hinder him from Running with the ball. Saying that technique wise he is very good and can hold onto the ball. Aside from both being classified as B2Bs I would say their skills are different. If someone at the club thinks they are similar then that says more about our scouting department then anything.

I would be very happy to get home him, physically speaking he would be suited to the PL. But lets make no mistake, he is a project player not a ready made world beater.

I rated this winner for the first part about playing together well.

Second part - I get encouraged about the fact we hear things 24-48 hours after they actually happen. I’m hoping that if we’re interested then we’re genuinely in and have a chance. I would like to think any payer that we may have been interested in in the past then we would be constantly in contact with his agent just in case. It would be also negligent that his agent in turn wouldn’t be in contact with us in order to achieve the best deal possible for his client.

Right on cue, Poch says he’s not optimistic we’ll be getting anybody.

He was the captain under Henry and easily their best player during that period. You have to remember they have a lot of very good players just poorly managed. Sidibe, Glik, Golovin, Yuri T, Rony Lopes etc are all very good players and I would take all of them (bar Glik and Lopes as we don't need them) in a heartbeat. Monaco are run like shit but their player recruitment is very good.

In the way that they play in the same place, are mixed race and have kicked a football before - sure. But he is far more creative in his passing than Hudds ever was and he’s not that much faster.
