All for this as long as it's anyone and I mean anyone apart from bloody Llorente who might as well be a cardboard cut out.

Loan makes sense for now. Mitigates against them being shite and covers us for the next few months. We need somebody in or else wave goodbye to any challenge for top 6 or cup.

and we need someone who can sit on the bench once Kane is back.

i think the role of our back-up striker will be to bring others into play and act as a focal point. in theory we have Son who can be our main goal threat, with Moura, Dele, Lamela, GLC each being told to try and score more. So i think we're lucky that we're not trying to replace Kane with Kane, but can bring the supporting cast into the limelight in respect to our attacking mids

Just to add to this Ze Luis (like Piatek also) seems to be a big threat in the air which makes them an ideal 'off the bench' plan B sub even when Harry is fit.

My point was whether he's good enough for the other top clubs. I realise they all have backup.

Origi is a Belgian international

This chap is a Danny Rose google player

Wonder what Harry Kane will think of our ambition
Am I just imagining things or did I read on here from one of the ITKs that Kane was pissed off that we were pursuing Dybala?

Fucking hell we really are becoming a slightly richer Wolves. Not sure how I feel about this.

I like what we are doing tbh, these are players Jose knows , characters his agent knows, plus just loan deals so hardly a long term risk.

This allows us to paper over the problems we have with our injuries immediately, avoids panic buying in this window which is very hard to get top players in, and doesn't hinder our summer window budget when hopefully Jose will be given money to re-build properly.

If they come good we keep them, what else can we really do , not much until the summer.

If we have the same policy in the summer , than i would be concerned.

I wouldn't be too unhappy with this, if its a loan. Lets not forget Jose has had 2 months with the squad, impossible to suddenly identify a world class striker that would suit the way we play and be available in the January transfer window.

We have been crying out for a backup striker for years...but have yet got one. Hopefully Jose can sort this in the summer, for now we need to just plug the gaps. If we can get him in on a cheap loan then great, I imagine we will still see Son and Lucas rotating in at striker for the rest of the season anyway. It's all about getting numbers in the squad so we can fight in the two competitions we are in and somehow put together some sort of run in the league to get some momentum back with the squad.

I think the reason we will get a loan striker is because we have a target in a different position who is available now but at a big fee, so we are trying to manage the finances and bring in what we can. Whilst trying to keep hold of everyone (except Eriksen who I expect to leave before the end of the window).

Buying a premier league proven striker doesn't always work out, look at Benteke, smashed them in for Villa....didn't go well after that.
