Did Starbucks and Amazon? Their names are mud now.

We probably haven't broken the law (unless maybe it can proven we intended to buy after 6 months and circumvent the payment) but certainly ethically and morally it looks like we've behaved shamefully.
Yes because Fergie is a poster-child for ethics and morality...

As said he is a Grant Hall esque signing and I dont buy the fact that he wouldnt be played that often as he needs to be played as often as possible since he has no experience, I actually rate Rose(I heard he had a bad game yesterday but people have to remember this is his first season as a LB), but yea I wrote off rose a while back since he pretty much lost a yard of space due to very bad injury but his games as a LB he has been brilliant and two bad games in your first season as a LB in the premier league is bloody good

And at 22 he is very young its funny how people on here are quick to claim that he is shit despite not seeing much of him this season and the two most highly rated LB's on here are Baines and BAE and yet at 23 a young BAE was hardly getting any games with us with most people claiming we need a new lb and he was shit, and Baines had just left Wigan at 22 for£5million and no one said he was world class then either
What does Danny Rose have to do with anything? Rose is first team level ready and should be judged by that standard and Fryers has been brought in to the development squad as one we hope will reach that level in the future

You might not buy that, but that doesn't mean it is not so.

All I said is it COULD be the case and the fact that he hasn't been getting in to their team on a regular basis doesn't NECESSARILY mean he was not good enough to play for them as there is an alternative POSSIBILITY that he was not played regularly as they always intended to move him on rather quickly so no point playing him or making him a regular in their team for such a short period of time, whether you believe that or not it is a POSSIBILITY surely and I suggest the fact he didn't play week in week out is not a reason for you to write him off

I don't know why you are even bringing Rose in to this thread, he's a player on loan who will either come back into our first team squad or will be moved on where as Fryers is someone we have brought in for our development squad

It's like having a thread about Couliby in our youth ranks and having a rant about GDS (when he was still here) different experience levels, different expectations. Rose may or may not be brought back for our first team squad, I highly doubt this signing will have any baring on that to be honest seeing as Fryers is not being brought in to the first team squad as of yet. Depends how well Rose impresses at Sunderland and if his sale value to them for example matches or exceeds his perceived value to our first team

You see him at 1:05 in this video, creates a goal. Looks like he likes to take his man on and a good cutback pass.

Of course, it's only a clip but it's interesting to watch these players when they're young, you never know who will make it big! Btw, Larnell Cole for Utd in that vid looks very good, never heard of him though.

Slight difference from screwing over a whole country in a recession and annoying fergie.

Fryers was joining us because he was promised a spot straight into the first team squad as left back cover, not into the development squad. He could have remained at United for that but wanted more opportunities of playing first team football. It was widely reported at the time that Fryers had given that as his reason for wanting to join us. It therefore has a significant effect on Rose unless we sell Benny, especially as Naughton and Vertonghen can cover the position as well.

We have probably behaved shamefully but after all, Manure weren't accused of tapping up Pogba by offering his parents money or anything... (acquitted on all charges of course so they did nothing wrong).

In this case, I think most of the rest of the footballing world will be laughing to themselves rather than being shocked.

Comments on Red Cafe are hilarious. None of them care that he's gone but they really, really really hate Levy.

This was the pick of the comments

The official announcement from our squad states he has been brought in to our development squad, that's official from our club

Personally I'll pay more attention to that than what was "widely reported" in the summer

Rose in my opinion will be judged on his merits and value to ourselves/others independently of this signing and in my opinion us bringing Fryers in will not be the reason Rose stays or goes

It's not like we hid him in the back of a car under a blanket is it?

I really hope thing doesn't end up getting dragged through the courts.

Our name and reputation is something i'm most proud of.
Nothing will happen about this. Maybe the rules are tightened but this wouldn't have been done if there was a chance of blowback. Besides, the Carrick affair and the Berbatov kidnapping will be interesting stories to get an airing in court.

Football as an industry, on many many levels, is absolutely disgraceful and shoddy. One of the least professional "industries" on the planet. Not dissimilar from any other major sport you'd care to mention. An almost complete absence of any kind of standards you'd expect a cleaner in McDonalds to even adhere to.

Then again, it's not the real world so no harm no foul I guess.

Has Fergie done an angry press conference yet or is he waiting for this thread to be stamped too?

An excellent way of getting round the rules and not having Fergie cry foul.

Everyone is always judged on their merits naturally, that's what determines whether you buy other players in their positions or not.

I'm not sure the fact the announcement says development squad instead of first team would have any influence of Fergie crying foul, surely the fact we signed him from a club we have a relationship with six months after he left Utd for them is the same regardless of whether he's announced as a development signing or a first team signing (I really don't understand why this would make any difference)

Personally I believe that Fryers will be in the youth set up to begin with and developing to be a player for the future and if he develops well I guess Rose will have to compete with him but then if Rose is currently of an age and level of experience where he needs to be competing with BAE for the first team spot not Fryers for the back up role anyway, so again I don't think it is this signing that will make or break Rose's future at the club

Not a rant just talking about the fact that people are suggesting that Fryers should play on saturday without seeing him play but are saying Rose is shite despite not seeing him play, I agree wrong thread but Fryers is a Grant Hall esque signing imo one for for the future in the development squad and Im not writing him off just saying that this is not a signing for the first team as many people suggesting.

He also like Hall needs a championship loan before we start looking to bring him in to the first team and as for his loan in Liege it is highly doubtful imo that they would do what you are suggesting and that would suggest we may have written pre agreement with Leige which may be illegal. If there wasnt a pre agreement then would be no guarantee that we would sign him or they may be a case of them selling him off to the highest bidder. though as before I dont think he is a first team signing as many suggesting hence me sounding like Im writing him off for the first team. Hall looks like he will be sold to make a profit unless he develops a lot more and Fryers is the same imo, hence us not willing to spend the money on his compensation, if he doesnt make it we know we can sell for a profit and be happy with our dealings

Frankly I was highlighting that Rose needs to brought to the first team if we need a LB now and then judged whether he is good enough,

No I don't know all the Premier League rules either. As a manager losing a player in such a manner and again it was widely reported at the time that this might happen, I would ask for an investigation. Clearly an arrangement has been made which would be against league rules I'm sure. Putting him in the Development squad where he can still play for the first team of course may be a way round this, or it may not.

No signing makes or breaks any player. Rose will make or break his own future with the club, just the same as every player obviously.

No we haven't officially done anything wrong, feel uncomfortable crossing Fergie though, no one ever seems to come out on top!

Understand exactly what you are saying and you know Fergie is gonna be furious with this. But isn't it about time someone just stood up to him and gave him the bird salute. The man is a bully and I'm feeling a little proud of our General Levy giving him a bloody nose today!

Levy probably doesnt even want him that much, probably just been waiting, biding his time to stick a blade in Fergie since Berbatov:ROFLMAO:
