Watched the Sunderland and Villa games and he has been fantastic since his return. I hope, as a football fan he continues to produce and all the rest of the crap is behind him because he really is a quality footballer.

It is being said he touched/pushed/slapped Agbonlahor last night !

Poll said it should have been a red card but the ref missed it.

He did raise his arm and touch agbonlahor's nose but aggie should've been booked for a foul on barton, in fact he got some bum treatment last night.

I hope he does a woodgate and turns it around.

It doesn't send out a positive message to youngsters though, does it? That you can get away with all the stuff he's done and make a comeback. It wasn't just one incident and he obviously has a very nasty streak.

Yes, I hope (but doubt very much) that he can become a reformed character but would you get your job back (or deserve to) that easily after behaving the way he has?

He not only raised his hand (finger to flick Agbonlahor's nose) which the Ref missed or it wolud have been a minimum yeelow, but he went in studs up on a 50/50 ball and got booked for that. He should have gone off. There is an underlying nasty streak to him which will not go away. Saying that, he played well.

He does play well, but he is a cock of the highest order.

Deliberatly winding up fans the other week, with his badge kissing, going in studs up, slapping, mouthing off.
He is just a horrible little fucker.

Can't stand teh bloke. Better off locked up.

The Agbonlahor incident's gone to the FA. With any luck that'll kick in his further six-game ban.

Hope not as it will be based on reputation rather than incident

The guy knows he is on a 6 game suspended ban, knows he has a reputation for being violent little cock and knows he should refrain from any further misdemeanours no matter how small (talking violence and stupidity not general fouls etc). Therefore he deserves everything that is hopefully coming to him in my opinion.

He was lucky he did that to Agbonlahor rather than Drogba as the latter would have gone down like a sack of shit. Barton is a completely different kettle of fish to Woody in terms of off field antics and Newcastle should have sacked him when they had the chance

I find the persistent support he receives from some sections to be really offensive. He's a nasty cowardly thug, who's involvement in the PL only serves to denigrate the reputations of NUFC and more importantly - football in general.

With real luck he'll assault someone else and have his ridiculous suspended sentence for his attack on Dabo unsuspended. Another six months in the slammer, please, m'lud.

and who's fault is that then??

Who's fault? That's easy. The person he beat up in the street, his team mate he assaulted and the youth team player that "walked" into his cigar are to blame.

Personally I hope the FA slap another ban on the little shit.

...and there's (possibly) more. From BBC Sport:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7710206.stm

Aston Villa are considering whether to complain to the Football Association over allegations that Joey Barton racially abused Gabriel Agbonlahor.
It is alleged the incident occurred as Barton appeared to poke Agbonlahor in the face during Newcastle's 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Monday.
The FA said on Tuesday they would not punish Barton for the initial clash but would look at any further complaint.
Villa confirmed their investigation is into matters of a racist nature.
"We take seriously any allegations of racist abuse and will act accordingly if we receive any official complaint from Villa," said an FA spokesman.
"We are aware of the rumours circulating and have had a number of calls on the subject but it is difficult to comment any further on something that has no further substance to it."
Barton and Agbonlahor were involved in a heated first-half confrontation, with Barton appearing to push Agbonlahor in the face.
After viewing video footage, referee Steve Bennett decided it was not worthy of a red card and the FA announced that Joey Barton would not face any retrospective action over that incident.

But it is reported that Villa manager Martin O'Neill and senior club officials who consulted with American owner Randy Lerner, have examined television footage of the alleged racist abuse and are weighing up their legal position.
Villa's legal advisers reportedly spent several hours examining tapes on Tuesday and are considering employing lip-reading experts.
The FA is awaiting Bennett's report of the match, which is understood to have made no mention of racism.
Before this new allegation came to light, Newcastle coach Chris Hughton said on Monday: "Any incident regarding Joey is going to be blown up twice as much as it's going to be with any other player."
It comes only three games after Barton resumed his Newcastle career following a six-match FA ban for a training-ground attack on his former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo.
Barton, 26, previously served a jail sentence for affray and assault for an incident outside a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool.
Agbonlahor's agent, Tim Webb, said: "I have not spoken to Gabby. It was a day off for him on Tuesday because he has such a hectic schedule with Villa and his mobile has been turned off.
"I am aware that Villa are looking into the situation."
Barton's agent, Willie McKay, added: "I don't want to talk about the situation. I don't know anything about it." Barton is understood to categorically deny the allegations.

I cant believe your comments Kendall. Sounds like he could be a terrorist, but as a footballing fan you wouldn't mind as long as he plays well.

Joey Barton is a racist thug. He doesn't belong in the Premier League. It isn't a one of offence, but several that he is guilty of. I couldn't care less what he does on the football pitch. He's a disgrace, and i would be utterly ashamed if he were wearing our colours. And to hear him talk about how kids can learn from him was a disgrace. What, so kids can learn that its ok to be a criminal as long as you pay your dues and say sorry?
