There is positive news on the condition of Richarlison with the striker in line to return to training on Saturday.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY ahead of Sunday's trip to Manchester City, Ange Postecoglou confirmed the forward has made good progress after he underwent groin surgery in early November.

The Brazil international has now completed his rehabilitation and could return to training with the group as early as tomorrow (Saturday 2 December).

"Richy is probably the closest out of the ones that have been missing," Ange confirmed. "We're looking at getting him involved in training hopefully tomorrow and then we'll see how he is because he has obviously missed a fair bit. But he's done his rehab really well. He feels good, which is important and, yes, he's the sort of next cab off the ranks in terms of the injured guys."

Always good when any of our players return. He's had a torrid time with us but hopefully he can still help us this season.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that it is expected Rodrigo Bentancur will be sidelined for around two months.

The midfielder was forced off in Sunday's defeat to Aston Villa with an ankle issue after he was felled by Matty Cash.

After undergoing scans this week, it has now been confirmed that the Uruguayan has suffered an injury that is expected to keep him out for the rest of 2023.
