Normally I'd say no, but given our lack of strikers I'd currently say yes.

But once we sign Defoe or whoever I'll say no again.

So Goat it is for me.

I really liked Mido and thought he was a bargain when we managed to get him for £4m. I also think some of you lot were far too hard on him given the goals he scored and set up for us.

Unfortunately the year he spent on our bench ruined him as a player imo. He became unfit and with that seemed to become injury prone in training.

He would be in direct competition with Pavlyuchenko and I rate the latter more, so for me it's a no, because I don't believe he can sit on the bench for a period of time.

Definite no.

Truly believe that in footballing terms he is not as good as either Bent or Pavlyuchenko. Add that to a poor injury record, terrible levels of general fitness 99% of the time, and just a generally horrendous attitude/personality and you have the makings of a disaster waiting to happen if we re-signed him.

I voted yes but can't see it happening.
I respect the man but it seems fitness will always be a problem.

Always thought he had something special about him, but he's not good enough to come in as a first choice striker and does no good when he's warming the bench because of his fitness issues.

So, no.

No, what is it with everyone fixing on players returning to us??

We need to look to the future, how often is it that you see players returning to their previous clubs, especially after just 1-2 seasons, yet this year, there seems to have been speculation on at least 2-3 players?

No way will Mido return to WHL.

If i ever see him walking onto the pitch at WHL wearing a spurs shirt again I will point and laugh!!

oh and the Goat option is just a weird tradition on SC..

I wasn't supposed to tell you that. :shhh:

Really? You're able to supply examples of this when he was with us?

Fitness record, yes, you have a very good point.

thought he was excellent in his second season (post-Kanouté, pre-Berbs) but his injuries and poor diet (saw him on Edgware Rd munching kebabs and smoking sheesha a lot) meant he never fulfilled his potential as a powerful striker

i think he's one of those who had great potential as a youngster but let it slip away...

so no thanks, he's had his best years (ajax, celta vigo and spurs methinks)

People talk about his fitness.. i remember him making more of an impact when he was a bit chunky.. when he lost the weight he seemed too lightweight!

But regardless, no thanks to Mido. There has to be better options out there surely!

I'd have him back. I wouldn't be ecstatic but if there's a deal to be done then why not? I rate him higher than Bent and if we got JD back those two worked quite well together as I seem to remember.

He plays well when he PLAYS. Play Gazza in every game and no matter how many Mars bars he eats he can still play.

Midos problem is he is always second fiddle so he never gets in the groove.
