Very simple - vote which players, if any, that you want to see involved in the first team squad again next season.

None of this "if we get a big offer for..." - no, assume that nobody is offering what we paid for any of them so it's either keep in the first team (in which case - vote), or do not vote if you want to send them out on loan again or sell at a loss.

  • Every player on this list has at least two years left on their current Spurs contract
  • Oldest of the group is Winks at 27, youngest is Udogie at 20
  • At least £165m worth of transfer fees have been spent on this lot
  • By my guess - somewhere between £500-600k a week in wages too
  • We're not in Europe so only PL homegrown rules apply - Winks, Spence and Rodon count as HG, none of the others do

Udogie, obvs.
Gil.
Lo Celso (just because i'm not sure we have a midfielder like him and we need to spend more on the back).
The rest can go (including Spence, just not sure we have use for him).

N’dombele- No. Talented yeah but his work rate is too low for what should be a young high energy squad under a new manager.

Lo Celso- Yes. Think he’d work well in a 3 man midfield with Bissouma and Bentancur. I’d even prefer him in a 2 over current options tbh. When he’s fit there’s no doubt he’s a good player.

Reguillon- I’d give him pre-season as a chance to prove his fitness but if he didn’t manage to make an impression I’d sell

Gil- Unpopular opinion but I’d sell. I don’t see any of the x-factor some others seem to see, I see a decent young player with potential to be a decent PL player in a year or two, I don’t see a potential world beater or anything to compare with Bernardo or David Silva. He works hard, has decent dribbling ability and good crossing but that’s about it for me. He lacks a real burst of pace, is weak as piss and offers very little goal threat or even contributing with assists regularly. He’ll be a good player when he’s a bit older towards his prime, but still not of the level we need.

Winks- Sell. He’s a decent player, better than a lot of people will give him credit for but he’s not of the right level for us and you need to play a 3 man passing midfield to get the best out of him. Not good enough and takes too much fannying around to get the best out of.

Spence- I think with Porro showing he’s an option at RW there’s definitely enough game time to go between him, Emerson and Porro. Porro for RW/RWB, Spence for RB/RWB and Emerson for RB/RCB. I like the balance of those options. If we’re eliminated early from either domestic cups we’d need to loan him out in January though.

Rodon- I feel like this guy doesn’t even exists. Maybe we can tempt a promoted side to take him off our hands. Clearly not making it here.

Udogie- I hope we either sign a manager that plays a wingback system or is able to coach him to defend because his concentration isn’t great. Maybe if he played as a LB and had clear instructions he’d do better than we imagine though as he’d know exactly when he should or shouldn’t be tracking a runner and he doesn’t lack any kind of talent whatsoever, he’s tall, quick, agile and strong in the tackle. On paper the ingredients are there for a great LB but he’d need clear instructions and to gain some experience

Definitely keep:

Udogie
Spence

Talented but flawed players who we might possibly keep depending on the new manager:

Reguilon
Gil
GLC
Ndombele

Don't keep:

Winks
Rodon

This obsession that some have with thinking Lo Celso will come good is laudable but Ive seen no evidence to date that it will happen.

For me Udogie, Reguillon, Spence. Gil Im 50:50 on.

From what I've read about Udogie's performances, I hope he gets into the 1st team squad next season.

My theory is players have 3-4 seasons at a club to make an impact or they likely never will. If Gil comes into the squad, this is the season to perform or it likely won't happen for him.

Haven't read much positive on Spence's time on loan, though I haven't read anything recently.

The others should all be sold should we get an offer though.

Don't disagree with the majority of this but don't get the no reguillon hate. I thought he was largely decent and this year would have been miles better than sessegnon and Davies.

Don't know about miles better, especially Davies - woefully underappreciated, because he just gets on with his job a vast majority of the time and is dependable, the only time he's in the limelight is when he cocks up. Not played in his natural position a lot, but he's not alone in that, though I would say he's one of those who's managed it, at least. Hard worker, is Ben, I've got no complaints with him.

Reguilon looked like a book we could only judge by it's cover. Like you say, did okay the few times we saw him, and would've been energetic at the very least. I'm keen to see what happens with Serg... mostly because I'm too lazy to update my avatar, but also because... yeah... it's almost entirely the avatar.

Yes and no - I agree he is probably better than Sess and Davies - low bar. But, I am concerned that there is a reason he was sent away last year - and nothing to do with whether he can play WB. He also had a mostly lost season with injuries and lack of playing time. So, my sense is its just best to move on.

If he stays and competes for a LB spot - I am fine with that - but then Sess has to go, imo.

Whether or not we play with wing backs or a back four will depend greatly on the futures of Spence, Reggie and even destiny from that list

happy to see the likes of glc and gill given an opportunity under the new manager

n’dombele had burned the bridge and needs to go

rodon and winks sadly not good enough. Their only positive is being home grown

An uninspiring list. I voted for Udogie and Spence as I believe they deserve a chance. The rest have had plenty of chances.

Reggy and Udogie are both upgrades on Sess, Davies and Perisic.

Keep Spence and get him a PL loan.

Sell the others for magic beans if you have too, just get rid.

I thought that Napoli had an obligation to buy Ndombele if they won the league/got CL, but that may have just been some bs I've read or from my own imagination.

Anyways, keep Gil, Spence, Udogie. Maybe give a chance to Reggie, and if our (some day) new manager fancies Lo Celso, then him too. Others? Get rid.
