The weakest united side we've played at home in 3 years, and we manage to be even worse.

So frustrating.

O'Shea had a handful of Crouch's shirt... But after Crouch dominated Vidic in the first half, every time the ball's gone anywhere near him he's been penalised...

Until Spurs learn to defend we're not going to do as well as everyone hopes. Did anyone think with them down to 10 men we'd be any better. Thought hutton was the wrong sub too. Oh well the 100% record was never going to stand up for very long. We've been made to lok quite ordinary by a team that in all seriousness are not that great themselves.

Do you notice tha united have beaten us today playing flowing passing football at white Hart Lane. They've passed us into submission, made the right runs and taken their chances. Chelsea next......

I have to say, I'm disappointed with the performance today. Most of the players are capable of putting in much better performances and I really fancied us to get something today.

Feel we lost the mental battle yet again and still the only one of the top 4 we haven't beaten recently. God I hate this team.

The strength of Utd is unbelievable. Tottenham have put in an embarrassing second half performance.

At least this game will bring back some people to reality.

Probably the only (very small) positive. Still, would have preferred us to win/draw and other fans continue to be a bit deluded.

We definitely need to sort out defence though. We can't expect to score at least 2 goals every match. What happened to the mean defence of last season?

regression to the mean

This is still man Utd, league champions, CL finalists (champions the year before) and world club champions...they didn't turn shit over night because they sold Ronaldo any more than we turned into world beaters over night because we won our first four games.

We have had a great start to the season and are making progress, but the progess is not going to be instant so you have to expect to sometimes get beat by teams of the calibre of Man U.

Rome was not built in a day and we were never going to bridge the gulf between us and man u which has been created over 20 years in one half season.

Yes we have played better against them in recent years, but those are one off games as is this...you can judge progress purely by them.

Let's see how we respond as a unit before we start writing ourselves off as moving backwards etc
