Well that was shit.

No tempo to our play, no pressing, no marking, no tackling, no movement and no heart. Worst performance we've had at home under Harry. The only person that can come out of the game with any credit is Cudicini. Crouch wasn't too bad for the service he got, but the rest of the team was shit. Utd dominated the game for 89 minutes and dectated the tempo, even when they went down to ten men.

Lets face it United are class, back to the drawing board monday and 3 points at the Bridge next week, don't think the Crouch long ball tactic will be sustainable and feel bad for Pav

Why the fuck did harry decide to not keep the winning side?!!?

Keane and Defoe upfront works!! We've seen it! Kranjcar should have played from the start on the left!

Crouch doesnt fit into our system.. he did well, but its just not how spurs play! We are good at playing into feet! DONT CHANGE IT!!!

all went tits up when Jenas came on! also im already over the fuck it up to Crouch tactics!

Jenas would have gotten us on level terms single handedly were it not for a great save by Foster. This was a poor performance but it's not the end of the world.

I really thought that Man U were weaker this year and we could have had them ? Don't want to start slagging off the team because we've had a fantastic start, but we just looked clueless today. Was it because of Crouch starting ? , Modric missing ? who knows ?

When they went down to 10 men, Man U really consolidated and never looked in danger TBH.

yeah i called that after the 1st 10 mins, we stopped playing the way we've played all season and start hoofing the ball in at angles for crouch:cry:

suggest he remain an impact sub when we are losing, when those hoofs make sense as they did against brum.

keane up front again would would have been fine as he drops deep and pulls strings, would have helped palacious and huddlestone who was mega poor today. lennon should have played on the left to really get at oshea

but this is all in hindsight, so time to forget and move on, see how we do against chelsea.

one plus point though, expectations will have dropped from media and fans, so perhaps less pressure for players/club arent used to it

Agree, the crouch long ball thing is a joke, why didnt pav come on and replace that lanky twat. they had 10 men for 30 mins of the game and we still couldnt do a thing about it. Passes that were going nowhere, and it just seemed like every ball went to a manu player.
Very dissapointing performance, yes some of you can say "it WAS man utd after all" but jesus we could have at least gave them a game of it?
Yep im happy with 12 pts from 15, that is irrespective though, we were shit today.

Probably feels worse than the 5-2 loss as we were playing against 10 men, perhaps the international break didnt help our cause but we should've been more creative than hoofing it up or missed place balls.. I cant help but feel Harrys need to put keane in the starting 11 cost us today, it was a poor performance all round really..

I can't see why Crouch started. He's a good player but with him up front too many players are tempted to play route one balls to him & with a CB pairing of Rio and Vidic that's not going to work.

That#s actually a very good point in retrospect

Jenas did alright when he came on, our problems today were:

  • Keane at left wing
  • Hudd not getting near Man Utd's midfield
  • Too many long balls to Crouch
  • Lack of confidence after conceeding the 1st goal
  • Strange subs by Harry
  • Not keeping hold of the ball (even against 10)

One of those games that United know all about winning as it's become habit for them. We're still learning. :)

My only wonder is that while I understand Mariner might not have wanted to send off Vidic for two bookable offences, why he felt that the Serb should be allowed five and still stay on the pitch?

On that subject anyone see the United fan with the Serbian flag. Wonder if he'll get done for 'incitement to racial hatred'

I sat there watching the game and i said as soon as they got the free kick if Gomes is in goals this will not go in.....10 seconds later7

Pav should be feckin fuming when seeing Hutton and Kranjcar come on instead of him when the other three strikers look like doing sod all game apart from the first minute.

We were very poor defensively. Every time they attacked it looked like they would score and the goals we conceded were awful. We need to get Woodgate and Dawson back quick.

Keane on the left has and will never work. Keane's at his best player off the last defender.

You just have to hand it to UTD,there on a different level I'm afraid. I was really pissed off with the way we just caved in, quite typical Tottenham.

How does Rooney have so much energy? he must be part machine.

crouch was good in the first half i dont know why people are being unfair to him, defoe didnt look good in the second half.. I wouldnt say crouch cant work in our system based on todays performance because every1 was rubbish..
