Why astroturf? Is it because you smoked the grass?

I can't see us stopping them scoring, so us getting 6 goals is a tad unlikely, I fear.

But that is the problem with all of this projecting...who foresaw Milan not scoring at the Lane.
Are Real better than Milan - yeah. Are they miles ahead of them - nah.

I dont know why I am getting excited about tomorrow.

My head is firmly telling me that Madrid will score, possibly more than once and although I can see us winning the game, winning 6-1/7-2 isnt going to happen.

But then my heart is saying..."What if" What if we score in the first 5-10 minutes, what if we then get another before half time. Come out flying for the second half and are 3 up with 20 minutes left.

Knowing Spurs, the answer would that would be to concede a horrendous goal straight away after.

I can remember thinking for the last 30 seconds of Inter away that all we needed to do was get the ball to Bale and it could be 4-4.

Always have faith, you never, never know.

Kick-Off:
Real Madrid kick-off.

2 min: GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Real Madrid (Gallas)
What a time to score your first goal! Bale takes on Ramos for the first time, and the Spanish International is forced to knock the ball behind. Rafael Van der Vaart's inswinging corner is heading goalwards by Much Michael Dawson, and William Gallas is on hand to prob the ball home after the England man's header was stopped on the line. Still some way to go mind...

6 min: Close!
Spurs have come out all guns blazing, and almost get another. Bale again takes on Sergio Ramos, and this time beats him all ends up. His cross is fizzed across the face, and Roman Pavlyuchenko is literally half an inch from connecting. It's quite noisey in here.

8 min: RED CARD! (Carvalho)

9 min: GOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Real Madrid (Van der Vaart)
Oh my! If it wasn't game-on before, it most certainly is now! Tom Huddlestone is playing out of his skin, and it's his defence splitting pass that put Van der Vaart through. As he shapes to shoot, former Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho clips the Dutchman's left heal, and see's red. Van der Vaart picks himself up, and strokes the ball to Casillas' right, sending the Spaniard the wrong way. I'm breathless.

18 min: Close!
The pace has dropped slightly since Van der Vaart's penalty, but Spurs still look dangerous, and Aaron Lennon gets his first real chance to run at Marcelo. The England International beats his man twice, before pulling the ball back for Tom Huddlestone, who shoots narrowly wide from the 18 yard line.

27 min: Woodwork!
Spurs a lick of paint from losing the tie, and it's that man Ronaldo. The Spurs midfield are slow to close him down, and Ronaldo is only too happy to drive at the Spurs defence. His shot takes a slight deflection, and replays show Gomes gets the faintest of touches to help it onto the post. That is a quite brilliant save, you know.

43 min: Close!
That's pure class from Cristiano Ronaldo. Alonso feeds to former United star, and after cutting inside Benoit Assou-Ekotto, lets fly with a rocket that ends up just the wrong side of Gomes' right post. Spurs living on the edge at times here.

Half Time: Tottenham 2-0 Real Madrid
What a truly great first half of football we've had. Spurs started like a house on fire, but Madrid's 10 men have given them considerable frights on a few of occasions. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the 2nd half already!

Second Half:
Spurs kick-off.

47 min: Close!
Nearly a dream start to the 2nd half for the home side. Tom Huddlestone, who has been my man of the match so far, plays another wonderful ball to the right, and Aaron Lennon again takes on Marcelo. The Brazilian is easily beaten by Lennon's trickery, and his whipped cross is nodded just wide by the lively Pavlyuchenko. The noise levels are quite insane inside White Hart Lane.

54 min: GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Real Madrid (Huddlestone)
Pinch me... Bale, with a chance to cross, cleverly pulls the ball back for the on-rushing Luka Modric. The little Croatian steps over the ball, taking 3 Madrid defenders out of the game, and from the edge of the area, Tom Huddlestone almost breaks the back of the net. There's over 30 minutes to go, and Spurs are now just one goal away from drawing level here.

... I'll let you all make up your own endings :)

Ah come on BC, let us have our moment, maybe you don't believe we can do it, but if the 32K + supporters thought like that tomorrow night we wouldn't stand a cat in hells chance.

I want the fans who are lucky enough to go tomorrow to believe, otherwise whats the point?

What a time to score your first goal! Bale drive at Ramos resulted in the full-back knocking it behind for a Spurs corner, and Rafael Van der Vaart's inswinging corner-kick was proded into the net by Gallas after Dawson's header what blocked on the line. Still some way to go mind...

I agree, we can't give up hope just yet, although I'll be quite happy with winning and not going through, all we need to do is score a goal every 20 minutes and we are suddenly level. 2 each half is all, we've already scored 3 against Arsenal away in 45 minutes, and 6 against Inter in about 100 minutes.

Pepe will be out for them, I'm pretty sure they will keep players on yellow cards on the bench in anticipation of playing Barca, and if they get an early red card we will dominate and anything can happen. Also if we get an early goal WHL will be rocking.

As i believe we will need to score 7!!! it certainly would be the great come back in sporting history...ever.. a miracle to rival the 2nd coming, a fairly tale of epic portion. And because of that, I will be getting up at 1.45am, As i would not want to be the Spurs fan who slept though it and missed it.

I'm certainly looking forward to the match, but I'm certainly not nervous. There's nothing to be nervous about. We're almost certainly going out, and it's that 'almost' that we're all clinging onto.

I fully expect Madrid to score, and although I'd love to see us make one of the greatest comebacks of all time, I have to be realistic and say I'd settle for a 2-1 win tonight.
