I think Vucinic is the player we're in talks with. Rossi will not be a Spurs player based on what's happening at Juve and the general state of things.

Key question would be Berb's longevity, another poster quite rightly put he would end up on a 4year deal on 70-80k +, will he still be doing the business in 2/3yrs time? If not he won't be worth pence and be stuck with huge wages. Vucinic is 27 less risk age front re-sale value etc but not the infamous 'prem proven'.
We do have clever people who I'm sure will make the right decision though

Vucinic's age will definitely appeal to Levy a lot more than Berbatov's. However the latter could, and I stress could, have another 4-5 years at the top given his style - IMO.
The question for me is about the attitude and would he have the requsite motivation.
Its a bit like giving your ex girl, who you dumped, a booty call isn't it?

Are people on here kidding? 7m for Berbs is an absolute snip and in no way stops us from chasing other targets. For me, getting Berbatov in the bank now means that we have one hell of an insurance policy if we can't make bigger things happen. The real question is, would he come back to us?
