Nothing new here, but we are definitely in advanced talks with Coulibaly! A different team handling this deal than usual so its hard to get details (as it's a youth-ish signing) but once its almost rubberstamped I'm sure POTL or someone (BEN called it early) will be able to tell us, and that should be in the next few days. I can't get anything else at the moment, bar the potential signing of "Naoki Yamada" (no, I'd never heard of him either!) We've offered a ridiculous amount of contracts to young players though this summer, we really are trying to push the young talent route as prices rise. Don't worry though, this has in no way diverted our search for the present, we are working as hard as ever to get players in the squad that will be effective NOW also.

A good wage for Aguero would be about £150k a week at least. The thing is, he's probably worth it.

It would be ridiculously unlike us to throw 40m at him and then the insane wages he'd demand, but if we did, we would seriously be in with a chance of amazing things. Can't see it happening unfortunately :(

Rebrab, any ideas if players like Ceballos(sp?) And this Coulibaly will get anywhere near the first team next year, or are they purely for the future?

Sounds promising. Yamada is a 21 year old Japanese attacking midfielder who plays in Japan for Urawa Reds, wikipedia reliably informs me. Two senior caps (including an assist on his debut) so far in his career. Didn't play a lot of games last year for some reason but seems to be highly rated.

Thw likes of Kane and Caulker have not got much of a chance yet,so i cannot see any change by Arry.
Have we even taken any youth players to SA?

Ceballos I can only give my opinion on and that is that he might play a few minutes in the europa, Coulibaly I'm a little (but not much) more informed. From what I've heard (this is the opinion of someone around the club, but not necessarily the opinion of someone that makes the decisions squad-wise) Coulibaly could play for us a bit next year if he did come and he impressed us - or at least that's what we're telling him!

Oh, and to all the mods - the reason I didn't post this in the read only was because I wasn't sure it was big enough news! Feel free to put it over there if you wish but I didn't want to clog it up with information quite a lot of people won't be interested in!

Guessing just the odd League Cup and Europa League game, Coouby Doo/his actual name which I cannot pronounce/spell yet would probably start more. But that's just guesswork from me

I've been away 10 days.... and nothing has happened

I know the window is open to the end of August but shouldn't our new World Class CF pairing have time to get to know each other?

I think we should just go away again tbh

Yep. Praying they lose Tevez, then miss out on Aguero. Can't see where they'd look after that. Maybe a huge bid for Suarez.
They were linked with Lavezzi recently. He's another Tevez type of player, but without many goals. There's still a chance they could get Nasri though. Even though Arsenal are determined to keep him this year, can they really afford to lose him on a free next summer?

As soon as the wage cap is smashed it will cause all end of problems for us. I think our main focus should be about offering him better than he is currently on or maybe matching it. I'm not sure what sort of money he's on at A.Madrid but i'd like to think we can compete on with their wages, even with our taxes.

Trying to compete wages with City is a complete no goer. We just have to hope his choice is for football reasons, then we might stand a small chance. The only trouble is he'll probably see us as a sidewards step from A.Madrid. The same could possibly be said for Rossi at Villareal. Even though they're a small club, they're on our sort of level in Spain in recent years.

You, sir, need to have a long look at yourself. You waltz in here, you bring your ITK, all positive and helpful. You even go so far as to bring us a new name that nobody has heard of.

Now, what other "proper" ITKs do here is make up a ridiculous cryptic clue. This is the accepted, decent way to deal with this situation. Cypher, code, or even colours are fine as long as it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

For example, you could have said "Our new signing is so fat...he ate Charlie backwards"

As in "Yo Mudda/Yamada is so fat..." and of course Charlie is Charlie Adam, whose surname is found in reverse at the end of Yamada's name.

Now, would this really be so difficult? Would it? Hmm?

You won't last long at this game, you know. Not with your attitude.

Okay, so we've been looking at a composed stomach lately and its almost done. The ship has a different captain for this voyage. I'm sure the b&y merchant or the one who uses 3 lots of what London is to England and Paris is to France for his name, and would make a terrible witch because he can't...

So, there's a Jap on the loose, if he were to say his name himself it would sound like he was insulting your mother. We're trying for Martin Glovers as well as the Osaka Amenity Parks. Also trying to get someone who can replicate Alan Sugar fast.
