I don't think anything major will happen today, certainly not to do with incoming players. I hope I'm wrong butI think the best we can hope for is a transfer being confirmed for someone like Hutton or Gio.

dunno about anyone else but the one i really want is Adebayor. Him alone could make us a force next season.

Really? Is everyone sure about this? There must be a reason city nor mourinho want him. What makes him the one person that will make us a force. We'd be presumably relying on Harrys mythical man management skills to keep him in check but even then I'm not convinced.

City and Real don't want him because they have/can get better players. We can't so...

Taraabt will go somewhere. Just depends how much QPR get for him. He obviously doesnt want to be there, which is surprising as you would think he has a point to prove.

Wouldn't you just.
A little gratitude as well, maybe:shrug:

He's a pretty consistent 1 in 2 striker.
He knows English football
He matches the profile of the type of player we need to compliment what we currently have and possibly Vucinic as well.
He's one of the best we can realistically hope to get.
His temperament is a bit suspect which is probably why the very biggest clubs don't want him
City think they can get better options, although someone like Dzeko is yet to prove it.

Thanks for info CM. I completely agree. Once Bojan has been announced, Vucinic should follow, and Gio will hopefully be announced somewhere inbetween.
By this time next week the best we can hope for IMHO is Gio & Hutton & Palacios out, Diarra and Vucinic in. Dream world, but possible.

Wouldn't you just.

Where did you get that?

This is what he actually said, with words from his mouth, yesterday:

Taarabt told BBC Sport: "We're talking with Paris Saint-Germain, but nothing is done.
"We're very close, but if no deal is reached then I will play for QPR in the Premier League."

And why he should show any gratitude to a team that he single-handedly (almost) dragged into the moneypot that is the Prem, then decided he was on enough money already so didn't offer him any wage increase, beats me.

We have been here before, City trying to timewaste us.

I can't believe they'd sell to us. They showed that last year with someone nowhere near as good - Bellamy.

I'm worried they might be mucking us about. Making us think we have a chance while they go off doing other stuff and then come back to us at the end of the window and say, 'Sorry, the deal just doesn't stack up for us'.

I kinda got the gratitude bit from the fact that QPR took a risk on a well-known trouble maker, and built a team around him. Just kinda thought he might want to give them a year in what is gonna be an incredibly tough year for them.

I'm not sure dragged them single handed (almost) is a fair description, either. According to a cross-section of QPR fans (as reported on here by someone who lives that way, has a lot of Rangers friends and goes to a fair few of their matches), he displayed moments of brilliance (thanks to the team being built specifically around him, so that the didn't actually have to do any of the sweet FA footballers normally have to do, like work, which he never did anyway), but he was far from being there most important player.

So, yeah, I kinda think it would be nice if he showed some gratitude for the fact that they gave him a chance and built a team around him, when the last thing they really need is to lose the player they have built a team around.

This. Let's make sure we give them a deadline or walk away.

Bad start, Taraabts deal to PSG is off, ffs.

I'm not sure that is a bad start. Personally I'd lke to see him play in the Prem for a season. Short term we'd miss out on a few million, but we aren't desparate for cash. Long term if he had a good season then his price would go up and we'd get more money when he did move.

This. Let's make sure we give them a deadline or walk away.

I agree with giving them a deadline when we are ready to deal, but the delay at the moment could be more us than them if we are still trying to trim the squad before bringing someone in.

I think we'll have to wait until RM returns from the US tour and Mou decides if he needs Ade in his team or not.

IMO I'd say that they can have him..

But the sell-on fee will be reduced next year, won`t it?
