So we close to a few players:
Vuccini
Diarra
Affelay or allefay
Adebayor
Rossi

Marvelous window

IMO

Happening now - Vucinic

Happening next week - Leandro (probably for Jan)

May happen in August - Adebayor or Rossi + Diarra

Am I reading Jasper's ITK from last night correctly.

It seems to be saying that Adebayor will take a wage cut if somebody pays him what he will miss out on.

I should have tried that with my bosses at work.

just a thought...would Modric as a Croat, be happy about bring Vucinic as a Serb into the club?

If Modric has a problem with it then hes a bigger twat than i currently think he is.

Has there been an update on Rossi then? I thought the latest was that he was staying at Villarreal.

Only POTL using "Y&B" on his last but one update

In any case, nobody can say definitively that he is staying at Villareal until 31 August.

Similarly, I know Falcao signed a new contract but if people think our deal for Leandro could be back on despite him signing a new deal last week, why is Falcao a definite no-go?!

Chelseas' interest seems to have ended with them making no obvious move to ship out Drogba and stepping up their interest in Lukaku so we could be back in the hunt as i always thought he was one of our prime targets if avialable?

Look. Would it not be safer to just confirm to yourselves that it appears we may be interested in Vucinic; and that he is on our radar.

Not necessarily that his signing is imminent. It'll save a hell of a lot of fallout if you just calm down a bit.

The voice of reason and common sense. HOWEVER I have been confirming this quietly to myself for some time and I am now READY TO RAMP IT UP BIG TIME :eek:mg:

If there was any chance we could prize Falcao from Porto then I'd hope it's something we're working on? But I think he'll stay put now there's zero chance in him joining Chelsea (Lukaku)

I think he was eluding to a deal similar to VDV, where a players take a wage cut but the selling club pays the difference in wages from his old contract to his new contract

There was a guy on COYS last night who met the players and staff in SA yesterday, showed the photos to prove it too, Spoke to Harry and asked him about Adebayor and Vucinic, He said Harry smiled at him and said we are working on things. He also asked Modric about Vucinic and he said he'd have no problems with him as they speak the same language.

If the Affelay interest is true then journalist will prove a lot of people wrong

Thought Vucinic was montenagren

He is. But it wasn't long ago that Montegro got their independence.

Anyway, I bet most footballers are professional enough to look past ethnicity. If they aren't, then Modders should be pleased to have a montenegrin on his side, seeing as they're not very keen on serbs.
