Not when we could probably get them for:

£28m Falcao
£15m Vucinic
£10m Pjanic
£15m Mata

I love it when you just make a load of shit up, do these lads all have price tags on the back of their heads or is there something I'm missing?

Didn't some ITK a couple of weeks ago indicate our ttransfer fee record would be beaten 3 times?
I think we've had similar audacious ITK in every window though. One of my favourites was about us signing the 3 Davids at the time from Valenica (David Villa, David Silva and David Albelda)

The only possibility I can see with this is a similar thing to what happened in January. Several bids going in in the hope of signing one star player. I can imagine maybe moves for Aguero, Rossi, Llorente and Adebayor in the hope that one comes off. I still doubt it though. I think we'll spend wisely as usual.

Getting rid of Woodgate would have helped a lot in terms of wages. Im guessing he was one our highest earners.

Yes. £65k pw IIRC.

I very much doubt it, not when he has just signed a new contract with a 45m Euro release clause in it!!

Buy-out clauses are only applicable for transfers within Iberia. It's more just an insurance figure than a realistic price. I really don't think Porto would turn down £28m for him.

Conveniently ignoring the word 'probably' so you can make a personal attack?

Has anyone pointed out the capitals in POTL's post? Vucinic Developments Overnight. VDO. Any ideas or am I overthinking it? seems like the kind of thing he'd do!

Various Deals Ongoing....youre over thinking it:wink:

Yeah probably, that makes it better. You're guessing prices for big players, probably very badly.

Regardless of it being very un-Levy like, Redknapp has said before (and with the insane transfer policies of Liverpool, City and Chelsea) that we need to spend money to compete. It only makes sense that we're going to try and spend a lot (in this current market no less) to compete with them. Waiting for a cut price deal will not work, as we showed in January, and we paid for it.
Nothing Harry says regarding transfers will affect Daniel Levy's stance though. We dont have the Stadium to back up big money transfers. Arsenal now have the Emirates, Man Utd have Old Trafford while Man City and Chelsea have mega rich owners pumping money into the clubs.

With neither the stupidly rich owners or the 50'000 capacity Stadium we simply can't afford to splash that sort of money. Daniel Levy is always looking for great deals and add ons. He isn't going to change all that now. If he was, he would've done it after the Champions League qualification.

95M??? Seriously??

IF we do that, I will donate £20 to SC.

Most of which could be recuped next season by the inevitable sale of Modric & Bale should we fail to make top 4....I love Levy as chairman and he runs our club very astutely, but a calculated risk from him now would be amazing.

This is like the Milner to City thing that would start all the transfers.

It actually looks like it might be happening this time!
