Look at the end of the day if we were close to the deal the media should have got hold of it!

Roma would leak it to try and get more money lll
So you think if Roma accepted a bid of say £15m they would leak it to try and get more money? That doesn't even make sense.

I dont think announcing that a deal has been agreed is going to result in someone else coming in and offering more than what they've accepted from us somehow?

Not to mention they've been advertising the fact that Vucinic is available at a price all summer.

Juve this Juve that, Has anyone thought maybe Mirko might want to move to the Premier League?

Massive point. Unless he loves Italy and doesn't really want to move, but I think his agent has already said something positive about us.

The Italian league is very very big with the former Yugoslavians states, traditionally it was the league they most followed other than their own, so like a lot of Irish for example grow up supporting English teams. Milan, Juve were the ManU, Liverpool of that league and will always have great allure I think, definitely more kudos than (non CL) Spurs.

Just because we have agreed a fee, and terms doesn't mean we will pull it through, if Juve come in and match our offer then he may will decide to stay in a country closer to home/heart where he has already learnt some language and settled etc. Geographically much closer to home as well.

Generally, don't we try and get a feel as to whether we can get the player to sign before we get a fee fully agreed, i.e. negotiate with Roma and the player at the same time?

In a non-tappy tappy way, of course. :shifty:

Absolutely. Thats why if we have gone to the bother of negotiating a fee that we want to meet....its likely Vucinic wants to come as we will have sounded that out from the outset, I guess interest from Juve could throw a spanner in the works but I dont think it will...I think the player wants to come to the Premier League and I'm sure Roma would rather sell to us unless you're talking about being gazumped massively - again I seriously doubt it.

Yup. Remember that well.

Also, Harry has said on SSN we have no chance of Aguero due to wages.

Bless.

Usually when a club is trying to sell one of their players, which is the case here, they would allow that player and his agent to discuss terms with other clubs.

He could of course agree terms with us and Juve as well so it's not nailed on i'm sure. But I think Roma would prefer to sell abroad and the Premier League will hopefully appeal more to him.

Shhhh....we'd just started to quieten them down so that they could get some sleep tonight!

All true....but equally he may want to test himself in a superior league and one which is watched more right across the world.

Absolutely the Italian league's fall from grace has been steep!! covered in corruption and racism The Prem must seem like disneyland rather than the local park that is Serie A they are poss on a level with French football these days i for 1 rate that quite low as its incredibly boring.
