Does anyone mind if i go cryptic just once?

Although its a fairly well known player I think that because of the interest from two other clubs (Bin rummages and a french nonced up nursery) I'd like to play cloak and dagger a little :shifty: if you catch my drift

apparently real madrid are struggling for funds and money, not sure that is true, but if that was case why not put a double bid of 40 million quid in and get diarra and one of benzema/higuain or close to that figure. getting two top players and giving them sufficent funds to sign aguerro and fuck shitty right off! i can see it now.. happy days!!

Sorry guys this is off topic but I feel I needed to say it. If you feel a post is against the rules why not use the report button? Why keep calling for a member to be banned? We have mods and admin who IMO do a great job here so let's let them get on with it. Calling for other members to be banned is just the same as the yellow/red card motions players do on the pitch and we all detest that.
Once again sorry I'm off topic as I know this is the ITK thread.

The way I see it, you can categorize strikers into multiple tiers.

In the top tier, you have the ultra elite (superstars), of which, I'd classify Tevez and Aguero as part of.

In the next tier, you have world class talents like Rossi, Falcao, Hulk, Neymar, Drogba, etc.

The third tier consists of very good players, who may be on their way up (Lukaku) or on their way down (Huterlaar). I'd place both Adebayor and Vucinic in this category.

The fourth tier consists of inconsistent, but talented performers, of which all of our strikers fit. One could argue that players like Gyan and Odemwingie would probably be at the top of this group.

To become a Champions League qualifier in most years, you'll need, at a minimum, multiple strikers from the top three tiers.

My point in all that is, Vucinic alone isn't enough to see us into the top 4. I think someone like Falcao might have been, because he's just a better pure goal-scorer and player than Vucinic. However, Vucinic and Adebayor would have us very competitive with Arsenal for that last slot.

Drogba was at one time very much at the forefront of the top tier. Adebayor is hovering somewhere between top tier on a good day and 2nd tier otherwise.

Vucinic won't be alone, we have VDV. Not a striker but together with a player like Vucinic the pair will score 25-30 and direct assist hopefully another 10. Add to that the indirect assistance of having two intelligent footballers in that area and you'll also contribte to others scoring.

I'd still prefer Adebayor, but neither will be playing without a decent partner, because we have VDV already to play off and around them.
