Tottenham, Vucinic a step
By calciointelligente Published: 22nd July 2011
Despite the interest of Juventus has declined, the future of Mirko Vucinic seems to be far from Italy. Tottenham is practically a stone's throw from the conclusion of the negotiation. An operation is essential for the figures that for the same Vucinic Roma: 18 million to the Giallorossi and almost four net per season to the player. For the official is a matter of hours. Today, the Montenegrin striker's withdrawal has left Rome, we are now to the end credits.

I love how the italians even translate with so much passion and drama.

Maybe the option would be playing with bale at lb against wigan, stoke, etc and against chelseas's etc play with bae at lb.
I dont want Bale at left back often at all. Especially against those sort of teams. Our biggest problem is when teams sit back and hit us on the break. With Bale bombing forward from left back we'll get caught on the break just like the Wigan game. Bale isn't ready to play that role yet, he will be in a couple more years I think. For now I think he needs to stay on the left wing.

I'm not sure how good Marin is from the right but I would think that would be his position to take. If not Marin then maybe Mata albeit a lot less likely, or Affelay. Lennon for me is just not effective enough throughout a game and blows hot and cold. He goes missing too often to be a regular, so i'd be happy for us to replace him on the right wing.

My son, you are not alone.

One of my favourite openings to a film ever was when a man in a suit walked into a hotel room carrying a suitcase. When he opened the suitcase, Bridget the midget popped out of it and started sucking him off. Awesome.

On topic, Marin, Vucinic and Diarra would be brilliant, but would that affect our homegrown numbers thingystuff?

I dont want to spam the thread as I know there have been alot of posts. but I just laughed out loud at this. Hilarious.
Reminded me of a time in Prague when some guy attempted to bring the entire stag party I was with to some freak show called The Monkey & The Midget. Dont know exactly what was ivolved, but the dirty midget was hand out hand jobs to the hairy balled one.

On topic

Marin is one that would seriously excite me. Alot of people get overly excited on here about mediocer players, some of which I havent even heard of (Shaqiri???) but Marin has the ability to be truely world class, replace the inconsistent Lennon, offer us another option of pace to challenge Bale and LEnnon.

M&M, MArco Marin? Yes Please.

but what If we got him in now at a high cost and then couldnt afford say, Rossi later in the window?

I think they are looking at him from a business point of view. Not a priority but good business.

Bit like Barca and Affelay
Point taken. but for me his position and type of player is priority. lennon has got pace and that is it. when they park the bus his pace is nullified, same with bale.

Thanks Ryan, realised you confirmed Marin. Would love us to sign him. Was the other name Huntelaar per chance ? what was the different colours thing about ?

It's definitely going to start kicking off on monday. From the way things are heading, I'd say that 5 of:

Hutton to Villa
Gio to Seville/Udinese
Keane to Blackburn
Townsend to Nottingham Forest (if they don't get Routledge)
Defoe to Newcastle
Vucinic to us
Khumalo to Rangers

all to happen next week, with our incomings mainly happening the week after. Repeat, I'm not saying these things are done, or even will happen, but this is the way things would appear to be heading. Some of this is taken from other peoples info (before people start calling it a summary!) such as Vucinic which I haven't even heard to be done yet!

I agree but I still rate azza highly and would view this as healthy competition and in particular when we dont want to play two out and out wingers - which is a problem sometimes.

Funny that the season we finished fourth we never really played with two out and out wingers.

My God though...Sandro and Modric, and a three of Marin, VDV and Bale with Vucinic ahead is amazing.

One thing though, if we are interested in Marin...there is no way I see us signing Vucinic, Adebayor and Marin....2 from three because Vucinic can be deployed in a wide position, and although he has played from the left it would only negate his use somewhat if we were to bring in Adebayor to be the first choice centre forward.

All this is redundant though if Harry intends to move Bale to LB this season which I hope he doesn't.
