Chunky info... (I got it from FTL)
MikeyMW said:
"As of a few days ago I know that Levy was p*ssed off with Arry for talking too much about this.

Harry was told to keep his mouth shut and say as little as possible. Levy is adamant we wont sell and doesn't want price even being mentioned cause he considers it irrelevant

Don't know if that stance has changed, but I doubt it.

Ancelotti is ready and available if necessary".

Mine too truth be told.

+1 - so much of his recent drivel has been counter productive I am starting to wonder if he has some form of personal agenda. Whatever it is, his statements are certainly not helping our situation and I wish he would stop.

Multiple colored sweets = M&M's

M&M's = marko marin

Boy was i on the wrong track!! originally thought Skittles ... was googling S.Kittle and variations on a theme..

Then decided that sweets was cryptic for suites and went down the DFS route .... came up with Doherty / Fabiano and, bizarrely Sue Barker....(Having said that Sue Barker makes me come up everytime-must be her sensual leathery skinned grin - like being smiled at by a prada handbag)

However Marko Marin is a distinct improvement on my guesses ..

I'd love Marin... however, it does raise the question of the Uk based players thing.

Ideally it would just see Bentley out the door (if we can find someone who'll have him) but could it also spell and end to Lennon instead as he would have interested parties? That would be a UK based player down and still none of the ones we want to ship.

Whilst this window would be golden if we bring in 2 or 3 international superstars I can't help but think we need a couple of Uk based squad players (that are better than the squad players we want shot off obviously).

If ancelotti is waiting in the wings, and Harry is all talk about adebayor, with barely a mention of vucinic, could it be that levy is driving through the vucinic deal on ancelotti's wishes?
As in, H won't be here much longer, and the Italian eyebrow take take up the reins with a player that he wants in situ.

Just me thinking out loud....

Do people think Marin is a replacement for Modders?

I'm glad its not just me getting irritated by Redknapps comments, whats his game?

He's almost trying to get Chelsea to up their bid. The guys an idiot, wouldnt put it past him to be taking a bung from Koorbachian for getting a sale done

I was convinced the Cryptic was we we're signing Dave "Bertie" Bassett to take the reigns if Harry goes down

:cry::cry::cry:
Why make SP cry Saturday Morning?

1. I thought only Sp got away with the numbered questions

2. I could be wrong

1 - Do I really ask numbered questions?
2 - Do you have documentary proof of this?
3 - How do you know I have always been allowed to get away with it (though in fairness, there was the incident there was the incident were a trio of Mods, led by none other than Rob himself, had to restrain me, as I screamed incessantly "I ain't goin' to no jailhouse, you'll never take me alive, MOD-er")?
4 - I you implying that by being allowed to get away with numbered questions, I am the SC snout?
5 - I agree, you could be wrong, but are you?

btw i ended up on arsenal's newsnow page - fun times. Worries about nasri leaving, fab leaving, gervinho not being good enough, wenger not spending.

oh and ryan:
1) fair
2) enough
3) it's boss' son. Not bosses. Their you go. :snooty:

This is the thang: I sincerely believe that so long as we keep all of our star performers and strengthen strategically, the Goons could be well within our reach this season. I also don't beleive anyone should be assuming Citeh will just make a steady transition to playing in the CL as well as the EPL. Chelsea, as we all know, have an ageing squad and a pre-pubescent manager (watch for developments when they play at the Emirates, then:wink:). Even United coould be vulnerable seen as they haven't definitively replaced so many players who have been key for them for so long.
We should be looking forward with more optimism than we have in years, and a top 4 place, at least should be attainable.

Marin is not a replacement, they don't do the same things.

Marin, Vucinic and Adebayor in would be absolutely immense. Not quite a title winning team but definitely one that could push all the way.

Hopefully followed by a new centre back and central midfielder in one of the following two windows and maybe a goalkeeper if Gomes can't recover his 09/10 form.

Now lets start to see some players leave. Naughton's gone, Khumalo and Livermore are supposedly being pushed into loan moves too. Gio seems to be edging his way out, so hopefully his departure will be concluded next week. Villa have been literally linked with every one of our right backs, so let them have Hutton. They also need a winger so they can have Bentley too.

But damnit, someone has to be stupid enough to take one of our strikers. I'm still praying that Big Martin Jol will come in with a double deal for Jenas and Keane. That'd be heavenly.

Likewise, I've had visions of Newcastle wishing to reignite the Crouch-Defoe partnership.

Oh, how perfect that would be.

Probably load of rubbish but this in the mirror today:

They are close to selling Spain Under-20 midfielder Oriol Romeu to Chelsea in a deal that gives them the option to bring him "home" again in two years' time and are also considering selling £4m-rated winger Ibrahim Affelay to Tottenham after they made an approach.

What makes me think it's rubbish is I don't think we would get Affelay for £4 million!
