Marin its a bit younger though, Lennon should b getting into his prime after 4-5 seasons playing regular in the PL, but injuries and confidence seem to be holding him back.

To me, Lennon is most at home as the natural winger in a 4-4-2 (with a left-midfielder that steps in). I don't think his game is helped by our drift towards 4-2-3-1 post Van Der Vaart.

id rather keep niko than sign marin
I like Niko, but Marin has the potential to be a much better player. In fact, I believe that if he came to the Premiership he'd make a similar impact in three years to Luka.

He's a very good player who had a disappointing season in a poor team. But, he's still young and has the ability to be a top (top!) player. He's only just 22 and has played 16 times for Germany; that says a lot.

Can't believe some are questioning signing Marin, jesus christ.

no doubt he's a good player but i don't think we need to waste money on him when we don't need him,i would rather spend our funds on strikers

We don't need a quality player for as little as 7m euros? Yeah because our squad is absolutely full of quality players...

Depth baby. Man United wins the title because they have depth. FFS Park Ji-Sung made 15 appearances in the league last year, but appeared in almost every champions league game. Man Utd has a player who would walk into our starting 11 every week and he's basically a big game only player.

If we can get good players we should get them.

What Lennon has stopped doing is going on the outside of his man. instead he keeps coming inside and just laying it off.

Talk of "funds" is ridiculous. If there is a bargain (as Marin could be) then we will have enough money for whatever we want to do. If Levy knew we could get £100m worth of players in, knowing that they would be worth £150m in a years time, then we'd be able to do that and any other business we wanted to. There is basically no ceiling, we're just trying to make good business.

So the info is still true (as far as you know) but the way it was delivered wasnt? haha

The info is true except I don't think Daniel is really buying multicoloured sweets.

Basically, we are keeping abreast of a very good opportunity should it arise

Marin is good, cheap and young. Lol at not wanting him because our strikers suck. Yes, multi-million £ businesses are run on one level only. No way is there multi-tasking when it comes to moves. Absolutely lol

Yep. Three years ago we bought Luka from an inferior team in an inferior league. Marin could do equally as well given time. He didn't have the best season, but if he can be bought for less than 10 million it's a no brainer!

Marin isn't really a Modric replacement though. Modric is predominantly a central midfielder. Marin is a winger. Despite the similarities it's not a like for like replacement.

Marin's got more goal threat than Luka ever will though.

Except Marin isn't playing for an inferior team in an inferior league! The Bundesliga is excellent and Werder Bremen have been in the Champions League for the past few seasons.
