Just a guess to be honest, but we've had some very reputable ITK saying that we've agreed terms. I certainly dont see it as risky in playing a pre-season game. The reason for pre-season is to get back up to speed, get the fitness levels up and ultimately improve your chances of being fit. With all due respect, where is your belief eminating from? Is it the ITK? Because that is the only place that has claimed a deal has been agreed to between the two clubs. No media outlet in Italy has reported an agreed deal, no media outlet in the U.K has reported an agreed deal, and Vucinic's agent hasn't even come out and mentioned Tottenham by name, nor has Roma's sporting director indicated that any sort of deal is imminent. In fact, Sabatini has said point blank that he doesn't want to sell Mirko, and if he does, it will be at a heightened price.
Furthermore, I sincerely disagree that playing someone like Vucinic, who is constantly on the ball and getting fouled, when you've purportedly sold him for 15 million pounds, isn't risky. In fact, the risk of playing him today massively outweighs whatever perceived benefit Roma would have for "continuing business as usual," so to speak. That is, unless there isn't a deal yet, which is what I think is infinitely more likely.
Let me also add that comparing him to Palacios is a bit strange, since there have been no ITK's, nor media reports that state that we have agreed a fee with any club to actually sell Palacios. If we did, I doubt we'd play him either.
You would think that if Adebayor is going to be a loan deal we would be happy to get both him and Vucinic. I hope Harry feels this way.I think Adebayor is Harry's first choice...probably waiting to see if we can pull that deal off with Vucinic on ice..risky, but thats what I'm thinking now.
podolski had a poor game against l'arse today
