THE Man = Lehman :eek:mg:
With all due respect, where is your belief eminating from? Is it the ITK? Because that is the only place that has claimed a deal has been agreed to between the two clubs. No media outlet in Italy has reported an agreed deal, no media outlet in the U.K has reported an agreed deal, and Vucinic's agent hasn't even come out and mentioned Tottenham by name, nor has Roma's sporting director indicated that any sort of deal is imminent. In fact, Sabatini has said point blank that he doesn't want to sell Mirko, and if he does, it will be at a heightened price.

Furthermore, I sincerely disagree that playing someone like Vucinic, who is constantly on the ball and getting fouled, when you've purportedly sold him for 15 million pounds, isn't risky. In fact, the risk of playing him today massively outweighs whatever perceived benefit Roma would have for "continuing business as usual," so to speak. That is, unless there isn't a deal yet, which is what I think is infinitely more likely.

Let me also add that comparing him to Palacios is a bit strange, since there have been no ITK's, nor media reports that state that we have agreed a fee with any club to actually sell Palacios. If we did, I doubt we'd play him either.
Just a guess to be honest, but we've had some very reputable ITK saying that we've agreed terms. I certainly dont see it as risky in playing a pre-season game. The reason for pre-season is to get back up to speed, get the fitness levels up and ultimately improve your chances of being fit.

There has been talk of Palacios to PSG. A couple of ITKs to back it up too. There was even talk that PSG printed his name on one of their programmes recently, a bit premature but maybe a suggestion that it's close. I also read a little while back that he may have some difficulty with his medical, but we still played him in our pre-season games.

I think Adebayor is Harry's first choice...probably waiting to see if we can pull that deal off with Vucinic on ice..risky, but thats what I'm thinking now.
You would think that if Adebayor is going to be a loan deal we would be happy to get both him and Vucinic. I hope Harry feels this way.

I can see us getting some good deals in this window but still getting what we need out of it. Think positive

"We have all been looking for THE Man. Now it seems we've found him. And in German, if you please."

Should we be making something of the fact that A sentence has been started with the word and, also the word and has a captail. Is it a gramatical error or is it a clue? German for and is 'und'.

No idea though, probally on the complete wrong track!

'We've all been looking for'

We haven't been looking for midfielders, so it isn't Robben, Gotze, Diego etc

I don't think it would be a keeper, either. Not with Brad coming in.

It's an out and out striker. Maybe that's why Vucinic is NOT imminent, but still closer than Adebayor? Because we've found someone better than Vucinic in Germany? Or a German playing in another country?

Oh god, I need a drink.

i dont do cryptic, but i would say, that it doesn't necessarily mean a player in germany, or indeed a german

We have all been looking for THE Man. Now it seems we've found him. And in German, if you please.
could THE just signify.. THE MAIN STRIKER, we want

Surly you would say, Found in "Germany," if you meant the place, or is the cloven hoof one a bad typist?

and why finish with "if you please" isnt thats one of them cryptic hints?

could the answer not be found in "And in German" ?

Just a thought

There really isn't that many strikers in Germany that could be classed as "The Man" for our number 9. Mario Gomez has to be up their as one of if not the best. Podolski is no number 9 either, Demba Cisse, Lucas Barrios and Stephan Keissling would be the others.

That Goat post is worded in a very similar way to some of Rebrab's posts... wonder if that is a coincidence?

Any one think the home of the Swans is Bellamy? Wales? I know its Swansea not Cardiff but think that is the case...

The emphasis on the Goats post was "THE" as opposed to "THE MAN" are there any teams in Germany with The .... as their Nick name?

I was thinking along similar lines, but that it could be found in "German if you please" Either in the words or as an anagram.

Type in what does Gomez mean into Google and you have the answer. It is Mario Gomez.

Stunned if Bayern would sell.
