re the latest CM itk, I thought all deals were made in installments over several years these days, do all up front deals even happen in the TM today?

You think Harry wasn't aware of vdV? You think there's a possibility that questions like 'Do you think he'll be suited to the Premiership' or 'What's his attitude like' etc weren't asked. This happens all the time from what we read, it's good management and absolutely normal, especially considering he hasn't played in England before.

I set him right there mate dont worry lol!!!:wink::grin:

so your saying harry after 40 plus years in foootbsll was unsure of vdv's skills as as footballer or imfluential player on field!??? anyway i think its well documented on how vdv transfer came about. and as for rumours about januray its just shit talk imvho when the chance to buy suarez came about and in harrys opinion or his staff that he is 2 similiar a player to vdv so why bother get him even if he wanted to come or not. someone obviously got the hump over this in my opinion and probally started to spread the bullshit of harry stalling and not been sure on targets.

I dont believe for one second any of these rumours. if they were true harry wud have been fired long ago. they must work in tandom and even if they agree to disagree on few things i dont believe for one second levy goes off for example and spends weeks and months on a deal for a striker and not tell his manager at all not even for a second till the deal is done. thats just plain fucking stupid in a multi million business with alot at stake.

What I was getting at was that you choose to believe some information that gives you the opinion it's all Levy's fault and ignore any information that it might be Harry's instead. None of us know, we're all in the dark when it comes to business at the club so it always strikes me as odd when someone comes out with such strong feelings against so-and-so based on hearsay and rumour and their own personal prejudice.

But this is not the place for that now I've gone completely off topic, again.

You set me right?? cock.. Harry also thought suarez wasnt good enough! been watching copa you say??

i think u need to get facts right.. harry said he plays similiar position to vdv, off off striker or second striker. he never said anything about him not been good. Now i dont know if thats his own opinion or that of his scouts but thats the deal on that one.

yeah watching copa and i also watched suarez when he came up against class like king and awson at end of season, the diving cheating cad when he wants to be. but he is decent nothing more, a live wire which is what we need up front. he puts in a shift which is always good to see.

For the last week I have been providing “Bill_Oddie” with information and thought it was about time that I came on to the forum and affirmed the facts myself. Firstly I would like to apologise to other sources as my second post apparently offended some as it contradicted what they have said. Secondly I would like to state that my principal information centres around Midlands clubs, but my principal source has very good, strong links with Tottenham, as “Bill_Oddie” knows. Finally, I have been involved in football myself and will offer more considered opinions if asked. I will always state what is fact and opinion. A lot of this information, I am lead to believe, may have already been provided to you throughout the week, in different forms.

Tottenham will NOT sign Berbatov, Rossi, Adebayor, Mata, Eto’o, Augero or Benzema.

Vucinic would be a complete change of direction because Tottenham, along with other clubs, have been and are scouting GERMANY. Like I said LAST Monday it is not even a starter in my opinion.

Huntelaar and Farfan have both been identified by Tottenham as targets, who ARE willing to spend up to 45 million Euros.

Scott Parker was NOT a target until Sandro injury and still any interest is minimal.

Jack Rodwell was scouted by Tottenham during the summer but interest has disappeared.

Afellay is a loan target; things might change now the media have picked up on it and they may look to sell. Along with German link; I was the first person to report this while the moderators where verifying my information.

The Robben link would suggest that the media has picked up my German link; but Robben is a bit farfetched. Can’t see Robben deal myself but 2/3 German based players is still very much on.

I also have heard some RUMOURS coming from Germany about Holger Badstuber, Thomas Muller and Toni Kroos and should know the validity of them more on Wednesday. At this stage they are only RUMOURS and I do not know which clubs are involved.

Through my Villa connections, which are stronger than any other, I know that they WILL be bidding for 2 possibly 3 Tottenham players and that the Downing money could be with Tottenham as early as Wednesday. Hutton and Jenas wanted; RUMOUR is Crouch is third. They are working on Alex McLeish’s say so but he will not be directly involved in the transfers

No interest in Gary Cahill from ANY club. Bolton WANT to sell and Villa will be richer if they do.

When asked about Modric earlier in the week I commented that I have no information but OPINION is he will go.

When asked about Marin; it’s not something I have heard but it would not be a surprise because of how strongly we feel about deals in Germany but my source did say after consulting him that any transfer involving Marin would be vulnerable for different reasons.

I did notice on one of you blogs that one of your posters had suggested that Tottenham are preparing to spend £20 million on three players and £35 million on another. I don’t know about the pricing but I WOULD NOT argue about the spend being upwards of £60 million on 4 players.

If you have any questions about any of the above please don’t hesitate to ask and I will elaborate more where I can, but be in no doubt GERMANY is where the deals will come from. I am sure “Bill_Oddie” will acknowledge that this information was passed to him, by me, before the media outlets had picked up on it and I have been annoying him about GERMANY before the rumours occurred. I have not changed my stance on this information since I posted it and will stand by this from now until the window closes. Expect every club in the Premier League to spend bigger than ever; as agents and scouts are looking to cash in this window more than most.

Can you help us work out the answer to this cryptic please:

"We have all been looking for THE Man. Now it seems we've found him. And in German, if you please."

Assuming, of course, the player is German or plays in Germany.

GERMANY in capitals. Capital of Germany is Berlin.

We're signing someone who will take our breath away.

Or Goose from Top Gun.

Cheers Journo

certainly makes sense what you say regarding Germany.

As you may know, we have disagreements regarding some potential signings. I think that this highlights to me that there are certainly still divisions within the camp regarding Transfers.
From Harrys point of view, we nearly signed Parker at least twice and I know he thinks Levy is doing as much as he can to secure Rossi.
