Hmmm, the answer to that Goat cryptic could be Pierre-Michel Lassogga.

Man in German is Herr, add THE and you've got Hertha. Hertha Berlin's top striking talent is German U21 Lassogga.

Can you help us work out the answer to this cryptic please:

"We have all been looking for THE Man. Now it seems we've found him. And in German, if you please."

Assuming, of course, the player is German or plays in Germany.

Doesn't Bastian (as in Schweinsteiger) mean 'man' in another language?

So what's all this hullabaloo about Vunciinic deal stalled over how we pay in installments - have I been transported back in time to the Andrei Arshavin/Zenit St Petersberg days of yor?!

@Journo - could you explain how we are contemplating spending €25m on Huntelaar when his peak transfer so far was €18m, his last transfer to Schalke was €12m and he hasn't had a great season that would lead his value to increase. Throw into the pot the fact that we have the savviest Chairman and it just doesn't add up.

No idea, but the Journo seems to have a lot of info re Germany so perhaps one of the players mentioned in that itk or someone else that the Journo knows about is the answer

great shout but is this player enough to keep modric happy or even make us challenge? Who knows but we need someone who can hit ground running and be a threat right from start
