Or just internet BS. It's not as if some anonymous poster making a bet on a forum can be forced to pay up. For all we know it could be some gooner with an account on SC and SO.

Obviously they may well know something we don't, and have every right to be confident.

My point is there is no reason to get excited just yet.

My point is more that even if we did sign someone this weekend I don't know if they'd be ready to go straight into the team.

I don't think Diarra and Adebayor have had much in the way of pre-season action so I'm not sure their fitness levels would be up to starting next weekend. And other than those two I'm not sure we're too close to much else in the way of incomings.

Hope I'm wrong though.

I'm trying not to think this (it's like my last resort mental crutch, for use in an emergency) but their results last term were well below their average performances, so we might well expect an above average return this time. Regression to the mean, and all that.

Also Harry does seem to bed players in with a couple of cameo sub appearances before they start games. I can only think of Wilson going straight in the first team under Redknapp.
