That depends, If we offload Keane and Hutton and say we free up £100k, One striker and big name striker could come in on £100k, Where are we losing out financially? Just moving out deadwood and bringing in quality for the combined wage.

No chance in Eto'o but would be very happy with Ady. Whoever it is POTL has now got to reveal who Blue is once this goes through (or falls through) so at least it will put pay to half of this summers biggest anguish!

The thing that I don't understand about the Blue & Yellow cryptic is that if POTL knew who these two players are from the beginning... I'm sure he started talking about it before the window opened, then obviously the club had identified these two players as the two player's to make a difference.
If that's the case why have we left it until now, just over a week until the start of the season, to get round to doing anything about the first one - not both - the first one!? It's crazy, it's not like we've sold anyone to free up a squad place, an according to all ITK info we're not that close to selling anyone.
I'm therefore going to state that B&Y started out as one player - Rossi - then became two players.. and now it's just trying to fit it to whoever signs and claiming it's been them all along.

I think you can't be more wrong.
POTL has said many times that B&Y is/are our No.1 target/s and we will do all we can to seal it.
POTL has also previously stated we know we have to increase our wage structure, and should the right player come along we'd do it.
Wage structure will be blown to smithereens!

I geniunely wonder how much of the anti-Adebayor sentiment is latent gooner hatred. He's completely and exactly what we need up front. And he's most definitely a statement of intent to the likes of Modric - the bloke was playing for Real last season FFS.

Firstly, who knows? It's certainly kept you all entertained.
Secondly, why does it matter. Take it all with a pinch of salt. It's really not worth getting all sandy in the vagina.
Re: the other bit - maybe we thought we could shift our deadwood, turns out we couldn't, and have decided to get our targets anyway. There are so many possibilities. Ultimately if we end up with our targets, what the fudge does it matter. There's no point going into "why oh why didn't we get things sorted sooner", because we haven't. I just don't understand that line of thinking. We didn't get things done sooner, it hasn't happened how we wanted it. As long as it ultimately happens, who gives one? Yes yes, pre-season this, bonding that, ideal world this, Van der Vaart didn't need one that.
It's immaterial. If we sign someone, can we just be a bit positive?

I know that a few years back some of our players had in their contracts that their salary would always be the same as the highest paid player. Not sure if that is the case now, but i would hope not, otherwise getting rid of deadwood to pay someone a huge salary, could end up costing more
Keeping Modric happy is not about getting in a superstar that he can cuddle up to on european nights, it's surely about getting the right players in to help Spurs be compettitive in the league and qualifying for the CL. I think Ady would be one player that could help achieve that alongside a pacy winger to cover Bale and Lennon (Afallay, Marin etc). Even KJH would be a potentially great signing if he can find the net on regular occasion. If Mod is challenging for trophies he'll be happy.

Within these forums (SC, FTL, SO, COYS) there is a private forum for mods and ITK's. The mods are generally told the players we're after, and the cryptics are passed onto us.
Cazorla being a prime example.
I don't think I'm wrong at all but we will see. I would say there will be a blue moon in the sky the day we blow our wage structure to smithereens.
