So we're signing Adebayor, Llorente and Nilmar?

Hooray!

I'm starting to think, realistically, that maybe Llorente is now our main 'blue' target. Maybe Nilmar is the new 'Yellow' after Vucinic fell through.

The thing about Llorente is that if he is blue, he'd be the exact opposite of everything he is. He plays in red for Spain, red and white for Bilbao, has brown hair and is happy where he is (ie not blue). The only thing that's blue is his eyes.

Which would be the greatest cryptic in the world if it wasn't so bloody stupid.

Speak for yourself buddy, I think Adebayor is a massive upgrade on what we already have and Im sure Modric would recognise this too. I actually think that out of all the strikers who we have been linked to he is the most perfect fit for us.

This

I assume people think storm is Adebayor or Barton because they're marmite. Some will love some will hate, hence take cover or dance. If storm is related to samba, then that's just bollox.

Storm initially was thought to have been about Madrid though, so meh. Adebayor doesn't count really as he's City.

See below.

Jacobs is a kit/stadium itk if I remember.

Ade is a massive yes from me

Anyone not wanting Adebayor is ether deluded or stupid. he is exactly what we need. Him & VDV will rip it up. Plus having a point to prove to one team and a grudge against another ( both of our rivals) will only spur him on further. He is worth breaking the bank for. How many proven premier league goalscorers of his quality are there? And how many would come to us?

and THIS !!!

Ade is absolute quality. He seems to have sorted his attitude and if he is willing to take a pay cut to join for regular football, then that speaks volumes about his desire to succeed, not just earn the cashola!

People need to get Llorente, Etoo, Falcao out of their heads. Why would their clubs want to loan them to spurs as POTL stated?? It makes no sense.

Adebayor on the other hand.

'Blue' could easily be an alias though so it could still represent someone like Llorente for example but all things considered, it very much looks like Adebayor.

Re: Jacob's itk: has it been confirmed it was stadium/kit itk or was it just that one guy who thought it was?

I might still be suffering from last night's excitement (only just logged back on!) but there were all sorts of hints floating around I thought, more than just Ade.

From what I could make out, Ade was the biggie but there were some seemingly confident signals coming through about several others.

From what I remember, Llorente, Nilmar and maybe even Mata were dropped into the mix again. Plus, when I was catching up on the daily thread there were the odd blue and yellow letters being dropped in seemingly (to me, at the time) random posts. I might well have to go back for another look at it all tbh.

Oh yeah, apologies but I 'spose I shouldn't leave out links to Sammy E either, nor Samba - although the latter may cause a few cross words on here!

I've been dragged back up by the latest batch and my confidence is high again (I know...I know...I'm a fool to myself).
I'm thinking that we may well end up as very happy little bunnies by the end of the window, if not before.

The only reasons i can see Adebayor not coming is
1,Man City refuse to do business with us?
2,Levy buckles under seeing his wages ?
I dont know if city still see us as a threat or if they have themselves in the top 3 bracket where as we are only good enough to push for the top 4 in their eyes who knows all i know is if theirs a deal for Adebayor to be done then i hope we are all over it...After Ronaldos remarks (if they can be believed ) saying he doesnt want Adebayor at Madrid where would he have left to go?

I still think, as I have all along, that we'll go in hard for Adebayor and Rossi, and if we were to get them, keep Pav also and get him to sign a new contract. Then in Jan we'll ship out Pav and bring in Leandro. We've got it all worked out...

hope not - if so he'd come up against his former team on the 3rd game of the season (check out the fixture list), score the winning goal for Spurs then in this instance just run half the length of the pitch and slide on his knees infront of Mancini who rips up the chair in the dugout and throws it at him.

Comment fron Blue Moon after a post predicting Ade to Spurs today, without any evidence though.

as much as i think adebayor has the exact attributes we need, if he was guaranteed to score 20+ goals next season wouldn't city keep him? He has everything we need and i hope it goes thru. But he's no Drogba. Gallas Diarra and Adebayor. Did they win a single trophy at Arsenal between them? Good players, won't make us title challengess.

Thsi thread is giving me bipolar!

5 minutes ago "Yes we are going to make a massive signing"

Now I feel like we are not going to sign anyone ever again!

Llorente, Nilmar and Adebayor are the only realistic striker targets IMO.

As I've said elsewhere I don't think Blue and Yellow have ever applied to specific players. I think we just want two strikers and that's what Blue and Yellow applies to. I think Rossi, Vucinic, Adebayor, llorente, Nilmar, Hernandez etc etc have all been options to fill one of those roles.

The clue has been going on for too long to mean two specific players.

Let's still not get carried away here, we were told Hutton, Keane and a few others would be very close to be out the door early this week yet it would seem we are no nearer to reaching a conclusion on any outgoings which still has to be fundamental before we can look to bring in new faces to the club.
