We signed Klinsmann out of the blue at 30, Eto'o has said he wants to leave Inter.

This would also explain why the big pile of money DL was carting about Spain hasn't been spent yet...ah fuck, I hope this isn't just a peak before a trough.

Please sign someone before fucking Saturday!

How does Llorente tie in with blue except for the his family crest? Seems a little too far-fetched.

Anyhow, if people aren't going crazy for Adebayor, who would turn you on? Eto'o? Rooney? Benzema? Higuain?

Let's face it, Adebayor would be great for us. Proven goalscorer, he would be our star, great in the air, great with his feet, sure he can be disruptive but he will be our main man if he comes, can't really seeing him messing things up for himself.

Nilmar + Llorente would be sweet as shit. Samba would be a great signing too, can't see why people are slating him. We've got an aging Gallas, an unfit Ledley King, Kaboul and Dawson who doesn't always shine. He'd be a great back-up signing AND he's a goal threat from set pieces. Samba + Llorente/Adebayor on corners? Plenty of goals right there.

as much as i think adebayor has the exact attributes we need, if he was guaranteed to score 20+ goals next season wouldn't city keep him? He has everything we need and i hope it goes thru. But he's no Drogba. Gallas Diarra and Adebayor. Did they win a single trophy at Arsenal between them? Good players, won't make us title challengess.

One step at a time mate i want top 4 again then we build from their

what i like about adebayour is he is a flat track bully too, the blackpools, wigans, birminghams and wolves of this world will be put to the sword .matches we used to draw/lose -they cant handle him. 20 plus goals easy if given games

The thing is, we NEED a flat track bully. How many points did we drop against the bottom five last season? I can't remember off the top of my head, but fucking loads.

hope not - if so he'd come up against his former team on the 3rd game of the season (check out the fixture list), score the winning goal for Spurs then in this instance just run half the length of the pitch and slide on his knees infront of Mancini who rips up the chair in the dugout and throws it at him.

Comment fron Blue Moon after a post predicting Ade to Spurs today, without any evidence though.

But I thought the ITK was that he'd be a loan, so not eligible to play against Citeh?

City's transfer policy on strikers seems to be to go for whoever's flavour of the month, preferably really expensive while they're at it. Hence Balotelli and Dzeko (both overhyped, expensive and frankly shit) last window already looking like they're being pushed to the fringes of the team.

I cant stand Adebayor - ex gooner horrible money grabbing individual - speaks in the third person about himself - hate him

then i ask myself who do i want in team Adebayor or Crouch?

Maybe my mate Ade isnt so bad after all......

I really dont understand why people prefer overseas players to those who have been their and done it...Nilmar looks great on youtube but hes small looks pretty lightweight we need a big strong forward, Adebayor ticks all the boxes AND hes proven!! as for Llorente i dont know who he is or seen the lad play but again if we do seriously go for one of these id want Adebayor along with one of them and id break the wage structure for Adebayor all day long hes what we have wanted since Berba left us now it looks like its on a plate some seem to be put off??? Crazy talk
I am a little suprised that you have not heard of Llorente, he won the World Cup with Spain last year.
The performance, for me, that confirmed he could be the answer to our problem, was when he replaced Torres in the game aganist Portugal just after halftime. The excellent Portugese defence was dominating the game until Llorente came on and he gave Carvalho & co a roasting and changed the course of the game.

POTL in response to a 'I don't want Adebayor' thread on COYS...

Oh Dear.
And rightly so. People not wanting Adebayor seem to have a very short memory. His record against us speaks for itself imo.

Not unless its in your dreams

Eto seriously?

not becuase i fany the dude lol!!! just he is a superstar player, with him in our team we would have the best striker in the Prem playing for us hands down, plus he guuartees goals and would help increase profile of the club and help to bring in other class players!

To be honest I don't want Adebayor.

But I do want him as he is the best realistic available option for us at this moment in time.

Ahh well i didnt watch much of the World cup due to the fucking infuriating vuvuzelas ruining every match so i prob didnt see the lad although trying to buy Spanish players seems harder than breaking Diamonds!! so Adebayor it is then

I dont understand why some Spurs fans arent keen on Adebayor.

HE IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED!!!

Take away the Arsenal rubbish. besides he seems to hate them now aswell!

I would be absolutely delighted if we got him.

The press seem very out of the loop going on some of this ITK, makes me feel we're quite a few days off yet signing a striker.
