Always thought Ade was the most likely scenario. Wondered about Dzeko though, he would make Modric happy - they seemed like good mates on Tunnel Cam. Plus his national flag is Blue and Yellow

Kaka. It's kaka.

Yellow is kaka. Has to be. He's being punted round the whole of Europe and Asia

It can't be? Surely? That's klingsman/Lineker size buy

Hi Chris.
In a slightly late reply to your reply to me question of last night...
I was referring to the figures shown in the forums page for who's viewing which thread - there was a lot of late night lurking last night :)
Also, the bit at the bottom, currently active - is that logged in? Or just that they've posted fairly recently?

Cheers chap.

hope not - if so he'd come up against his former team on the 3rd game of the season (check out the fixture list), score the winning goal for Spurs then in this instance just run half the length of the pitch and slide on his knees infront of Mancini who rips up the chair in the dugout and throws it at him.

Comment fron Blue Moon after a post predicting Ade to Spurs today, without any evidence though.

 He could even kick Balotelli in the head:hump:

City's transfer policy on strikers seems to be to go for whoever's flavour of the month, preferably really expensive while they're at it. Hence Balotelli and Dzeko (both overhyped, expensive and frankly shit) last window already looking like they're being pushed to the fringes of the team.

:hump:
There are lots of reasons for hoping we get Adebayor.
One of which is that it will show just how totally arrogant they have got, that they really believe they can write us off as rivals...ignoring the fact that our young team will have improved for the experience and imagining that all their players will adjust instantly*, and the team will adapt to playing EPL/CL without a hitch.
*And the funny (as in hilarious) thing about that is they are buying and discarding perfectly acceptable strikers just because they don't adjust instantly.
I think folk are writing then in as cup-a-soup-instant title challengers way too soon.

Just seen the latest Grey Fox itk, that's enough to send me over the edge. Gonna go buy two spurs shirts, one with Eto'o on the back and one with Kaka.

Don't worry...that comes out in the wash:wink:

People doubting the signing of Adebayor need their heads examined because if this guy is fit for most of the season, and we keep Modric - which I'm sure we will, we'll be back in the Champions League this time next year.

I cant stand Adebayor - ex gooner horrible money grabbing individual - speaks in the third person about himself - hate him

then i ask myself who do i want in team Adebayor or Crouch?

Maybe my mate Ade isnt so bad after all......

that pretty much sums it up for me - always hated him but I would welcome him with open arms as he is a MASSIVE upgrade on Crouch and the rest of our strikers for that matter

I'm not a fan of the vague and tenuous hints that get called 'cryptics' but I can understand that some enjoy them and they have their place if delicate negotiations are ongoing for the likes of Eto'o, Falcao or even at a push Llorente but frankly if the answer turns out to be something average and obvious like Adebayor, Samba or Parker that's been in every crap tabloid and fan forum since the window opened, then that would indicate the ITK was just a deeply sad attention seeking loser.

So i'm going to give POTL the benefit of the doubt and assume "Blue" isn't Adebayor.

I'm getting pretty excited about all this now, it has to be said.

Blue and Yellow = Adebayor and Llorente is my thinking. Both been on the radar for a long time, both the type of player we need.

Fingers crossed.

The season we beat the scum 5 - 1, Adebayor was absolutely tremendous, world class in fact and he ripped teams apart and scored loads. Then it went to his head, he wanted out of Arsenal and he's never quite hit the same heights - the closet he's got is at Madrid and I think the Togo shooting incident has brought him back down to earth a bit. If he stays fit and gets close to that season for the Arse then we are potential title challengers - and I think he has summink to prove.

Just to clarify IF POTL is not a wind up merchant (and he isn't) then we are in talks with Ade without doubt - no ifs no buts, he is at the negotiating table. Taking every tit bit over the last couple of days (and I read it all remember) there is no doubt that we are discussions as we speak - doesn't mean he'll sign though....
