I don't really get info close to the end of deals, mainly just targets we are taking seriously. But even I have been told that Diarra is a yid! I still hold reservations as I was told very similar info regarding Parker twice before.

I can't see this being wrong in my opinion though

:sleepy::sleepy::sleepy::sleepy:

Levy is proving to be a hindrance to this football club. All of you have allowed the fact that he made a quick buck for Berbatov and Carrick cloud your judgement.

Going back to sleep now. Wake me when we sign someone.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If that's the best you can contribute, I'm sure you'll understand when we leave you asleep.

I appreciate the continual pinch of salt. But if we don't sign Diarra even by this week then I will FINALLY not believe ANY ITK (btw this isn't ITK bashing in the slightest). I Will still read them but thats about it

POTL is regarded as the best. When he said Diarra - Deal and then said hello pocket Dynamo I assumed that the deal would have been announced shortly after. Then he was spotted at PSG ground and now theres rumblings that were not interested/haven't agreed a fee with RM and/or wages with player ect ect

i though it's done, when he said 'deal, but still could be 'agree fee' instead.

i think the riots could delay some business.

Well last summer we got Sandro, Gallas and VDV, all of which were excellent deals and are great players.

It's a really difficult situation because we don't have the money or stadium to sustain a squad with players on ridiculous wages. We want to sign a really top name player but also many clubs have been looking for strikers including some of the biggest spending clubs in the world (Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, At. Madrid, PSG, Getafe...). The biggest name players are going to ask for big sums of money and we have to wait until they have signed who they are signing and then see who is left.

There are still some really top strikers available who may be more inclined to move to us now that those other clubs are completely filled out with strikers. We are probably best trying to sign a lesser name but who is very talented and take a risk but at least have someone in who offers something more as a lone striker than our current crop do and once he is in place we can then take the gamble of trying to sign a really top striker.

I'm not sure anyone is to blame on us not being able to sign a big name, it's just not that easy.

My contact has given me contact on EVERY player we've bid on/been in talks with, he's given nothing on Diarra, which means we haven't progressed with our "interest"

Thats what I mean mate, if he's given you nothing on Diarra that doesn't mean we havnt been in talks trying to sign the guy.

"STILL no signings. STILL no sales. Despite ITK to the contrary, things don't seem to be moving along. We've had half of may, June and July and a third of August, roughly eighty five days to do some buying and selling and now we cling to the hope we're going to do it all in the last 20 or so days open to us."

------------
Most of our targets are from Spain or Italy, the window for transfers from these countries plus Germany and France only opened on 1st July so only 40 days.

I'm sure a lot of the lack of signing is because the players themselves want Champions League football or a bigger club or higher wages and are waiting to see if they get it. For most we are probably a second choice so doubt it is all the clubs fault.

our transfer policy is wrong, we seem to think we need big stars to make us better but we don't we need players who suit our squad. Man utd have spent money but they haven't bought world stars they buy players who suit there team. We all go on about vdv being a great signing but we got champions league without him but not with him. He is a great player but not for our system, with two up top we score alot more goals. Surely harry should be in charge of transfers it is his team and his system.

I think Levy is more conscious of this than usual as the FFP rules will mean you can only have wages which fall with in the budget that your stadium allows.

Oh and ITKs rule!

Are you implying we've bought no one since Carrick?

Since Carrick we have bought:

Season 11/12
Brad**Friedel
Cristian Ceballos
Souleymane Coulibaly

Season 10/11
Sandro Raniere
William Gallas
Rafael Van Der Vaart
Bongani Khumalo
Steven Pienaar

Season 09/10
Kyle Naughton
Kyle Walker
Peter Crouch
Sebastien Bassong
Niko Kranjcar*
Jimmy Walker*

Season 08/09
Vedran Corluka
Heurelho Gomes
Robbie Keane
Cesar Sanchez
Jermain Defoe
Wilson Palacios
Carlo Cudicini
Pascal Chimbonda
Roman Pavlyuchenko
David Bentley
John Bostock

Season 07/08
Giovani
Luka Modric
Gilberto
Alan Hutton
Jonathan Woodgate
Chris Gunter
Kevin Boateng
Danny Rose

Season 06/07
Younes Kaboul
Darren Bent
Adel Taarabt
Gareth Bale
Ricardo Rocha
Ben Alnwick
Pascal Chimbonda
Sted Malbranque
Ahmed Mido
Didier Zokora

And also we spend more then we make in transfers every single season. Even in the Berba and Carrick ones.

I'm happier that we go for a few quality signing as opposed to the old days of buying a whole new team every window. We don't need 7 average players. We need 2 or 3 world class ones, and that requires a bit more patience.

So not even done deals are getting done? Should have known, same story over and over again. Was all jittery about Diarra being announced today, went to the OS - nothing, checked Spurs in the News - deal delayed, went here - no deal at all. Deja-fucking-vu.
