Our current forward crop is better than Long.

We CAN get Llorente or Rossi. We need to be trying harder, pay a higher price.

Thanks for the info re. Schalke Jouno, it makes sense given the amount of forwards they have, we could wait till the last minute and on the basis they don't need to replace any unless someone comes in for the player sooner then the deal is very much in our hands. Offer them a silly price right at the end of the window and they're going to want to deal.

we all know levy likes a bargain, and you just get the feeling that transfers incoming and outgoing could be dragged till the last week of the window as he looks to get the best deal.

Lets just hope that if don't sign a striker by the last week of the window, then he stumps up the cash.

Madrid never paid the reported price for Diarra and his wages are actually relatively low compared to others at Madrid. Wages not a problem.

Also read someone saying Tottenham want £14million for Bentley. NO they don’t.

Really. Your source being good, mine being him.

That was the original price tag slapped on him, yes I'm sure it'll be lower and take 5/6 maybe include him in the Samba deal, Origanlly that was the figure considered to put on him

Enquiry for Ruiz but Harry isn't too sure.
Shane Long is being touted and fits Levy policy
Rossi and Llorente = Dreams
Adebayor - Nothing moving until City agree to pay part of wages and Levy hoping they get desperate regarding 180k per week
Higuain/Benzema - Enquiry by Levy but none of them for sale stance by RM
Diarra - Deal is 99% done, Club waiting for Palacious to move on before completing
Pedro Leon - Deal could be done depending on Harry

Cheers for passing on, but if true im looking for my noose to hang myself.:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

People with jobs and money to spend really don't have the time for rioting.

And lazy fuckwits who can be bothered to better themselves and become productive members of society aren't going to give a shit about a football club signing a player when they're too busy playing with their newly stolen xbox.

End of rioting rant from me.

I expect that's because how much he cost.

A starting figure at the negotiating table isn't the selling price.

I think it was important to get someone in before everton and that's obviously not going to happen. Gutted how this window has panned out so far as it's been obvious to all that we need a striker. I also don't get the waiting bit as we messed around in January and it cost us £40m.

Any deal involving Samba surely has to be Bentley plus a decent sum of cash for Samba?

Ahhh the old, 'Harry isn't sure' routine... sigh.

Yeah that's why we didn't sign Suarez who has just been an absolute revelation for Liverpool scoring fucking bucketloads and not acting like a bucked-toothed, moany, cheating wee ****.

I'm waiting for the now predictable 'Levy and Harry fighting' post from some other punter.

Harry is never flipping sure is he?

Seems to me like he doesn't have much confidence in his own judgement regarding players who arn't worldwide super stars.

Eek Thankfully he is very close to joinging West Brom for about 6 million so hopefully that gets done very soon before people start hanging themselves at this speculation! I very much doubt that Harry and Levy would bother with a signing like him, we would gain nothing from it.

The German defender i've heard which im sure has been mentioned is Mertersacker,a considerable improvement on Chris Samba imo.Who according to SSN is injured and will miss the 1st few games of the season(fits the mould then of the current crop of spurs centre halves)

from what ive heard when tottenham offered Bentley to villa the conversation didnt last long enough to discuss a transfer fee.
But he was offered at the time that villa offered money for hutton, crouch, jenas and that deal was around £15million made by Villa. so to put bentley into that sort of deal it couldnt be anywhere near £14million for Bentley.

I am told that Diarra would be around £12million. I dont think madrid even finished paying for him from how i heard the conversation. but to say they paid over £20million is way off.

I doubt they paid 20m for Diarra also.

who Bentley or Diarra??

If its diarra the source i get my Tottenham info from was close to the Diarra to Madrid deal.
If Bentley; why would Tottenham not agree on a fee to sell crouch, hutton and jenas for just over £15 million yet try to negotiate the deal to include David Bentley if he wants £14million for him alone?
