All this doesn't change the fact that these negotiations have been protracted to the point both potential new additions lack fitness and match fitness for a very difficult start to the season, so we've left it late, then it's delayed and both players aren't settled with the squad and probably won't contribute much, if at all to the Champions away.

I'm all for a good deal, but an early deal for a striker especially would have been much better. Pretty much all of the rest of the Top 6 had new players bedded in and playing in their first games. Not good enough for Spurs and it will take another couple of BIG signings to make up for it in my eyes. Let's hope more business is concluded quickly, hope there's a new fax machine at the Lane!

I am not able to take anybody seriously that can't seem to grasp basic English.

This clearly not true, as if a guy wearing a suicide vest was standing in front of you speaking Arabic or any other language, you would take them seriously indeed

Is anyone else no worried that we may not announce any deals in time for them to play against Utd now?

Is there any more ITK to back up my source it seems well quiet today?

Well a passed Diarra done two weeks ago, and Wilson was always the hold up, but he's been agreed for ages now.

Makes sense on the ade stuff.

Kaka rumours STILL won't go away either

I can't see them playing against Manure, time is ticking...

Tick follows tock follows tick. In other words...if there is any chance of the FA approving the contract before 12 I'd have thought the paperwork would have needed to be in by now.

If the ITK last night is to be believed, and we were meeting City officials last night to thrash out the Adebayor deal, then it was surely to ensure the deal was finalised to allow us to register the player today so that he is eligible for Monday night?
If we dont have the player available for Monday then we are idiots, and City are fools for not seeing the potential impact the player could have against their title rivals.

AFAIAC, up until the point that it is mathematically impossible for us to win the league, WE are rivals for the title, and Citeh may fail to adjust to CL (it was a factor with us, why is no-one considering it as a factor for Citeh:bang:), and fail to impress in the league:whistle:

Do they need to approve before 12 or do we just need the papers in by 12?

So if we don't get the paperwork done in the 45 minutes, we may not see Adebayor in the league then till 10th September?

Damn international weeks.

I know  I was furious.

I couldn't agree more, its not twitter its not a text so write the whole word! Its not that hard! (Obviously my spelling sucks but at least I try!)

Back on topic I bet Levy has claimed he thought the deal was in dollars as he is in America - "Yes we will happily pay $85,000 towards his wages"
