What's all this 12 noon deadline stuff? Are we suggesting that Adebayor could have been thrust into the starting lineup for the game against United having little to no pre-season training at all and therefore being the opposite of match fit and more susceptible to injury?

We'll have to go with what we've got, I guess. It's worked for us in previous seasons. We just need a goalkeeper who's switched on and a referee who isn't a biased twat.
Oh, and a bit of luck.

A bit being a whole load.

As if the FA are going rush it through in time for Ade & Diarra to play against their beloved Man U on monday

If anything was lodged by us before 12pm then as long as it was all in order, it doesn't matter if the FA (although its actually the FAPL) take 2 minutes or 8 hours to review and rubber stamp it.

I’ve not posted anything because things have not really changed. I have been stalking the site and reading some of the stuff though.

I was at Villa Monday watching a SkySportsNews waiting to see if there was any truth in the Keane to LA rumours. People there couldn’t even be bothered to ring agent to see if any truth. Disappointed in his agent- he was pushing a deal and a courtesy call would have been nice. Nobody had a clue LA was on the cards and if it was then it was well hidden.

Villa have not been back with an individual bid for Hutton and WILL NOT go back. Unless Tottenham call first the deal is off.

I think he has had a preseason except instead of playing with first team he may of been with the reserves with bellamy

Not against Man U it hasn't!

Seriously though, I think people are just so disillusioned with our strike force that even a half fit Adebayor sounds like a better bet than Crouch, Defoe or Pav.

I'm off to the pub. Please, when I'm back, can we have some news? Anything?

Here's to hoping!

Ade and Lass. X

How about our friends from Germany, you still confident that Farfan and KJH will be Spurs players? If we do sign Adebayor will that change things?

edit - dyslexic moment there - who's Raffan?

Journo McCleish himself said no incomings with out outgoings... I would imagine he was gonna use Cuellar cash for Hutton deal ... That's off now so would you expect that killed the Hutton deal surely...?

Have you heard anything about KJH now Adebayor is looking likely?

Re; McLeish . How can they let Friedel, Reo-Coker, Carew etc (over 10 players in total) go. Sell Young and Downing for around £40million and still have to reduce the wage bill. The players they let go were the biggest earners. Go check out the squad list.

There is money there; they just don’t want to pay over the odds.

Sounds familiar.

I think this is the case for quite a few clubs at the moment. It's why I expect an orgy of transfer activity in the last few days of the window when everyone suddenly actually has to lower prices/pay a bit more.

McCleish justified that with the bent signing taking up the other part of the 40m... fair enough ... Have you heard anything on the EA deal?
