haha cheers phil, just finding my way around the site theres a lot of various forums  basically i have been reading the itk forum for a few weeks as its very interesting & addictive but could you give me a word on whether its reliable or tosh? (y)

The mods are good here and they know the sources of the ITKers if they think someone is a WUM (Wind up merchant) then they don't go in the RO (Read Only - http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?forums/sc-itk.50/)

However people get info at various stages of proposed deals and things change very quickly so take everything with a healthy dose of salt. Its all fun and sometimes spot on and sometimes it misses.

But hey you can decide who yourself here is the Log of all the ITKers - you can see their track record! http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?forums/the-log.69/

I agree and disagree. Obviously I also appreciate JJ's info, my speculation was more a response as to why JJ's info would differ from Akqayid's.

And if the gossip surrounding new owners is true, I don't think I'd want to take the Chelsea/PSG/ManCity approach. I'd rather them just dump the money into a new stadium and allow us to continue our growth as we are. Simply buying a title would have to feel fairly hollow. But if we were able to improve our wages sum, keep concentrating on players in the 20 million pound range, I think it would be better for the club and for the game overall. Going out and buying a ton of new players isn't impressive.

Would be ideal if a sugar daddy pumped loads of money into the ground thus leaving us to get naming rights and use that to strengthen the squad, pay higher wages.

If that did happen would that effect FPP - are owners allowed to spend huge amounts on improving infrastructure without affecting revenue?

My understanding is that you are allowed to build facilities with your money, but you aren't allowed to just blow it on players.

Yes, yes they are. It's best scenario possible tbh with you. The stadium is key and unnafected byy FFP rules.

Really hope the latest ITK is true, and we stealing Gylfi from Liverpool where all seem to think the deal is done.

Not only is he class, but will make the gylfi thread on RAWK an amusing read!:)

Akqayid appears to hear gossip about the club and passes it on. Likely associated on the business side of things, either agents or otherwise (likely otherwise).

JJ has got to be employed by Spurs. In fact I would imagine he's a sanctioned leak (at least in part). He'll share info to keep us from getting frustrated, but has always been very careful to not be irresponsible, and just your average numpty fan with nothing to lose would never be so disciplined.

totally agree, he always seems to bring us good news. He used to be just an ordinary member of SC and not even living here. He's somehow got close to Levy (his driver or something) and has earned Levy's trust and become what he is. My thoughts anyway!

I couldn't understand earlier why people were wasting time trying to guess a player when by far the most interesting info coming from Akqayid and JJ relates to the potential change in ownership or the role/input of Joe Lewis. I find the 80m thing a bit hard to believe because it's unlikely this figure would ever be allowed to leak as Levy is too shrewd.

But the whole structure/nature of how we are owned could be far more monumental than any single player trade.

No 'could' about it, but so far the information is so sketchy that any discussion is going to be based almost entirely on guesswork.

What do you think we did in 1961?

Just tried to visit RAWK to peruse their take on Gylfi, and my AVG blocked it, saying some sort of Java threat. Anyone else get that?

Could the stadium be built in time for FPP? If so we could start to pay the wages now if so. Not man city wages but at least compete with the scum.

I dont know much about Gylfi, is he similar to Afellay who we were linked to earlier, or is he more a box to box player ?

From what I saw of Afellay at Euros he was more a goals form the side type hole player. All the Afellay talk seems to have died down.
