Haha, my bad.

Was actually just thinking that if we go 433 rather than 451 then maybe Ade isn't our top choice???

So perhaps it would be Bale/Ade/VDV or Bale/Sturridge/VDV or a mix of the two.

Either way, very exciting.

Well hulk is a greedier version of sturridge and Dan got laughed at for saying Gio was better than Hulk but having watched Mexico vs Brazil, dos santos out played him whilst hulk was playing against a shocking mexico defence. whereas Gio was playing against a stronger defence whilst looking over his shoulder to avoid a Sandro taking him out LOL
May have missed this earlier in thread, so apologies if this is the case, but i have seen somewhere (Times) that Sturridge has meningitis?

Does anybody know, does Demba Ba´s buy-out-clause end July 31st? Perhaps we should place a sneaky bid...

Wouldn't mind Sturridge as long as we get Adebayor.

Don't know if its good or bad news that we have'nt heard anything for a whille about signing Ade on a permanent, for me, he should be a priority target.

Ferris said 'likely' a few days ago.

I maintain we have the players to play 3 at the back with two "wing backs" ( walker and Bale) one of the things that really annoyed me about Harry was that he never even tried it once last season.

Think it wod give us so many more options going forward. One of our weaknesses over the past 2 years is that sometimes despite all our possession in games we never looked like scoring, and we certainly haven't scored enough goals
AVBs system will likely have the defensive midfielder drop back into defence splitting the 2 centre backs, with the fullbacks bombing forward. So it wont be 3 centre backs as such but the defensive midfielder will drop back and make it a 3.

First, apologies for the fact that this is off-topic. If it gets me 24 hours in the cooler, then sadly that's a price worth paying.

Regarding the fact that JJ was asked not to post in this thread, it was done partly to help people like me (8 hours time difference from England) but I don't like it. I liked the way that the thread operated (in spite of all of the crap that was posted) and I will certainly miss JJ's input. It really wasn't that arduous a task to search the site for any of JJs comments and sift through the irrelevant shit.

However, I think we should all remember that Rob and the mods are the ones that have made SC the best Spurs site on the interweb, and if they think that the changes they have made are for the good of the site then we should all STFU and go along with it. If it wasn't for them you wouldn't have this great place to piss and moan in the first place.

So how about we stop with the questions that are really thinly-veiled digs at the new status quo, suck it up and enjoy this great site for what it is?

Rant over.

How many top-level managers anywhere tried it last season? Or the season before?

Not (he hastened to add) that this is a topic for this thread anyway. Why don't you start a 'I'm very disappointed that Harry didn't do a Hoddle and play 3-5-2' thread in Spurs Chat? It would be good for a giggle.

Where's the earlier Hulk talk coming from? Or is it just speculation due to the Porto connection?

Very different players. Moutinho is more a holding ball retainer like Modric. Oscar is an AM.

I'd be very happy with Sturridge and Moutinho, so long as they are in addition to Ade and an Ade back-up.

Different players, but i don't like someone like Alonso & Carrick, Modric also was AM and i think Oscar can be the same, he would be good player to play next to Sig or even Luka if he is staying

If it's true that we've 70m to spend, my choices:
Krul 15m
Vert 10m
Sig 8m
Oscar 20m
Damio 20m
Adebayor 10m
Keep Cuelker, Gio, Defeo
Sell Gomes3m, Bassong 3m, Pin 5m, Vaart 12m
