Sorry if this has been said, but this to me doesn't hint at a Dutch player......more benfica! Who play in 'the stadium of light'!

Free agent, so probably just on trial with no official contract yet.

Maybe, but Brighton wanted him to sign a contract, and we wanted him. If it were you would you walk out of a job (contract ended 30 June) and play on spec for a new side without being paid - and if it does not work out you the need to find another new club to be paid ? Or would you try to get Spurs to sign a contract - and if not sign the Brighton contract ?

How much have you actually seen of Rondon? Not including any youtube clips.

Very, very little personally. But I have a half Spanish friend who follows Spanish football like a religion. I asked him about Rondon just the other day. He really knows his stuff, I really trust his judgement, and he says Rondon's a great player with an insanely high work rate for a striker. Would succeed in the Premiership and fans would take to him quickly because he never gives up. He's also a beast physically and can score with his head and both feet.

Well now, Rondon hs the physicality to succeed in the prem. Not sure how good a fit he would be in our team but hell, if a deal involves GDS going the other way, it'll be worth it. We need to end this GDS saga and add some depth at striker. Kill two birds with one stone.

Agree. I watch la liga week in week out and he's a beast. Great potential and runs his socks off. Only problem is he's very inconsistent. Has a great match and then doesnt score for 4/5 matches. But for the second part of last season he was impressive.

Rondon is okay, watched him live against Rayo this season and he shows quickness and good finishing and good awareness as well. Obviously a downgrade from falcao, benzema, hulk etc. but a good player considering we're getting Ade.

I know, I know...I'm just bored...if we are going for veterans, might as well go for Pirlo :D
I hope they both keep going for a while yet. I remember watching them when they were teenagers/early 20's and the next Maradona - a decade before Messi was even heard of. When they retire, I'll have to accept I'm getting old. No more escaping it then. 3 kids, married for nearly a decade. I can easily ignore these signs of ageing but the retirement of someone I saw the first professional games of - Fuck! That!

I think it means, "when this one comes to light you will understand", as in, when this one comes to light we will understand, or in other words, we will understand when this story eventually comes to light.

Witsel and Cardozo I'd gladly take!!

Vertonghen, Witsel, and a cheeky bid for Lukaku? Hasn't had a chance at Chelsea... would be cool to have a Belgian spine from one of the most promising national teams in the world!!

Witsel: good player but we have Parker & Sandro, probably getting Mouts also.
Cardozo: Not PL quality i think. Pretty slow & in the Portuguese league which has a much slower pace than PL. Ade is waaayy better than him.

Witsel would be an insanely good signing. About 0% chance he's the player though. Besides, only just gone to Benfica.
