Do Hamburg (ignoring their relegation woes of the last couple of season) got any decent strikers. VDV might be used as bait if so. Just go a feeling his face doesn't fit. Not through any trouble etc but eh, just get the sense AVB isn't as enamoured as many of us are.

Not to mention a couple of ITK rumours about VDV. Hope not, we are so devoid of brains I'd be gutted if he went as well.

Agree entirely with you. I'd forgotten about the ITK stuff. Something to think about, VDV seems to be viewed as the bollocks by many German clubs. Doubt it's anything but our striker search seems to keep lurching from one dead end to the next.

Get Ade in and I'll breathe a big sigh of relief. Until January anyway.

So is it Lewandowski, Gomez or Huntelaar then?

[/optimism]

Has this Paul Thorpe got any previous exposure concerning being ITK?

I hope he's not WUM'ing; as a Spurs supporter to a fellow supporter, he should be aware of the cascading emotions in lieu of that tweet!

whilst I'm 100% behind whatever the manager wants to do, losing Rafa would be like losing my ability to count - unTENable.

he's more than sexy. he's the one player I'm still talking about to my uninterested girlfriend at 11pm on a Saturday night. I love him.

 I'm guessing that's a no then. Fair enough. I'd rather keep VDV, the magnificent bastard that he is.

Son Heung-Min

Son signed a new deal with Hamburg, which will keep him at the club until 2014. Due to his performances in the pre-season he is being affectionately nicknamed "Korean Müller" and received praise from Franz Beckenbauer who said that Son had what it takes to become the next Cha Bum-Kun.

I have to admit that apart from Beckenbauer, I've never heard of anyone in that paragraph.

Son... Where do I remember him from? Wasn't he one of the player that were a default free agent in like FIFA10?
