Really? I can't see him as an AVB style player. I feel clubs are interested in him, but don't want to buy him because of how long he has been out for. So, loan with a view to buy.

And that's why we'd put a January recall clause in? To not play him?

I won't say anymore on here about this after this post, but we have a 27 man squad (over 21's) at the moment, 26 if and when Dawson goes. Button, Falque and Obika are still there. If we sign and sell no one else then 2 of them would be in the 25 man squad.

doesnt mean they will be named in the squad if they stay and they are over 21 though. I expect those 3 will be loaned out though

SToke seems a very weird destination for Huddlestone given his style of play and theirs, hopefully he will prove a sensation playing regularly for them and we can either bring him back after or command a bigger fee for him

Crouchinho, Palacios and now Thudd.

Can things get any worse?
We're now officially Stoke City's feeder club.

I think left back is a postion which we could do with strengthing really - not a fan of Ekotto - you always get a few mistakes from him in a game.

You SOMETIMES get a few mistakes from him in a game.

He says Carvalho is not going to QPR, despite what SSN say.

He then went on to challenge them to a standoff.

POTL vs SSN.

That's genuine too. So I would go with POTL on this one as he seems pretty convinced. I'm inclined to believe that Carvalho may well be used in the Modric deal purely because of that comment too.

Not so sure click

January release clauses are not allowed between prem clubs. Greg has that one wrong.
Maybe the loan only runs until January, but we have an agreement that the loan will continue until June unless we want him back?

Is that a bit of a loophole?

Aye but I would still consider a 'winger' to be a midfielder.

This is open to debate. If a winger is a midfielder, who is a forward? Just the striker(s)? I would consider a winger to be a forward - since their main job is to attack (and hopefully score goals).

Why? Everything points to it being a loan for him to regain his fitness and match sharpness. Don't think this has anything to do with getting him out of the club.

Can you shed lights on a few of those 'things'?

I also reckon the coaching team may also want to see if his ankle can stand a solid season of playing before deciding his future.

How can we be close to signing one up front if we haven't even had the bid accepted?

Close has been an over used word this window.

Well if they accept the bid and we already have agreed terms with the player then the deal will go through quickly - hence it's close.

Presumably if the offer isn't accepted then we have another deal lined up that we can complete on.
