Holy mother of cock. I'm away from SC access for just under 8 hours....

What the fuck is wrong with some people on here? Reading through the last few pages I thought Levy must have sold the club to Sol Campbell as he raped Chirpy on the way out. Checking back several more pages it seems like our major targets might have to go to the wire...pretty much as expected. At this moment in time we're really not in a bad shape as a team - let's see what Friday brings shall we???

Some of the comments on here are bordering on insane..including some from those I would have thought would know better. Good to see there's a steady few that can keep some perspective.

And remember. Chill...

So your first post is bashing Aqua? I have always taken him with a pinch of that white sea powder. I know he has taken a hit on reputation, but could we stop taking our frustrations out on him. I don't care if he gets stuff wrong sometimes. He lets me dream of the possible meltdowns. It doesnt always happen, but that's life. I just know he puts it out there like I would because he wears his hart on his sleeve.

I think we may still upgrade in the backup striker department. I'm also hopeful of getting a winger in to cover for Bale. If we manage to get Moutinho in (who knows, right?) we'll have a very, very solid Modric replacement.

I just hope we keep VDV! :cry:

all we are doing is replacing the out goings, improving where we have needed to over how many windows? def not. and if vdv goes without a shit hot replacement we wont be anywhere near 4th. 2 bloody forwards, one who cant play up top on his own and the other who takes 5 chances to score. not looking good. again. should of known!! try so hard to believe every window. but.... fail again.

Don't see a big drop there, and don't forget, the window hasn't closed. You add a Lloris upgrade on Brad and I think we have broken even at the very least. Anyone else pushes it well above that. Moutinho in VDV out improves us if it happens imo.

obviously i take all ITK with a pich of salt but hes more or less said moutinho is done. I dont know about you but i wouldnt get fellow fans hopes up unless i was 100% certain and im not taking my frustation out on him, im not frustrated at all

We have Sig that can fill that role and Moutinho can create goals. Don't act like the guy that does the scoring is the only one that matters. We need good service and creation. Dembele and Moutinho can provide that. Moutinho is also 4 years younger which translates to more value and more longterm impact. VDV scored 11 league goals last season, it's not like we are asking to replace a 25 goal a season scorer.

The change in system is important to. VDV's goal scoring was much more important because in a 4411 you are much more reliant on the front 2 for scoring. In a 4231 or 433, we can get more contribution from the wide players. Bale should get more goals now for sure.

It would only work if we switch to a proper 433 with WF who actually score goals but it looks like we won't be getting any of them!

I'm going to go to bed and hope that DL wakes up in a good mood tmw!

You could argue that Sig has replaced Vdv's goal's ? I'll be sad to see Rafa leave us but if he wants to leave and it also means us getting in Mouts (who AVB wants) then it's a good deal for everyone

Sorry...well actually no I'm not...but that's bollocks. As much as it's nice that Akqa lets you dream for a while that everything is great, the reality is that he's spinning whatever flimsy piece of ITK he can get his hands on into hyperbolic bullshit that plays with the emotions of a lot of people due to the pretense that he's not talking out of his arse most of the time.

I'm sure he does get legitimate info every now and then, but he's rendered it next to worthless by heavily exaggerating some stuff, or completely making up the rest. This has been proven over and over so if someone wants to question his info I can understand that. More importantly so can the mods.

So what you're saying is that it's ok to deliberately spew misinformation that creates an unrealistic and ultimately disappointing picture of what is really going on at the club we all care about? Excuse me if I don't join you in your misguided deference.
