Its not the story breaking that im watching for .... the real entertainment is watching the "Righteous Indignation" set get theirselves worked up into a foaming at the mouth frenzy and then spouting on about how, if they were in charge, they would have simply asked mummy for a little bit more pocket money that particular week and hence made up the difference in the moutinho fee.

Last night had me howling with laughter, more of the frothing same today please, but with added lager if possible..that'll get the bile spewing! ;)

Change the record mate. I swear the only posts I've seen by you have been criticising people for having a different level of enthusiasm to your own. It's deadline day. It's going to get emotional. Some will be over the top and others may be a bit more level-headed, but whatever happens we're all here because we're Spurs supporters so maybe climb down from that high horse and just enjoy it whilst it lasts?

Yea but we want the type of quality that is going to replace Luka and take us forward, not some bargain bucket rejects at the end after our stupidly low balled bids for our actual targets have all been rejected

The whole £30m bids for Aguero and Rossi really do seem like total bollocks now because we really haven't shown any interest in doing something similar since

They seemed like total bollocks at the time.

I think the big thing we need is a replacement for Luka

I won't even complain if we just get a young promising striker, obviously I'd prefer a Llorente, but I'd be satisfied with a prospect as long as he met the criteria to play the loan striker role and cover Ade better than JD can.

Keeper would be nice but could probably wait til Jan, wing cover well its needed unless Gio and Townsend are going to kick on big time this year.

The two key areas are clearly the Modric replacement (which Dembele isn't really) and the second striker (which it would seem may be a two bird with one stone move for Remy as JJ said thats not dead it suggests he's our target as of now)

I agree about the Modric replacement. Maybe Dembele can be a second striker? Anyway, I just wrote this is the Twitter thread:

I originally thought that Dembele was a Modric replacement, but the more I think about it, the less convinced I am. We still lack someone with a good passing range to spread the play from deep. Yes, Dembele can play there next to Sandro or Parker but he likes to keep his passes simple. If Moutinho is out of our reach, why aren't we looking for others who can pass? Or why haven't we tried Huddlestone?

If Moutinho does sign somehow, then he will be a guaranteed starter but then does Dembele play next to him at the expense of Parker and Sandro or ahead of him at the expense of The Sig and Rafa?

I've always expected Vdv to go, and the more I think about it, the more important it seems that we get Moutinho. He's clearly the one player AVB wants.

Will there be a relaxation of the twitter rules on this thread so we don't have to switch between the two or is that just a futile question mods?

just have 2 tabs open, one in here and one twitter.

Even if you only have 1 tab, i dont think its that much of a task to leave this thread and view another in the same sub forum (or even any on SC!)
