My bad. I have a clear sense of ignorance upon me and for that I apologise.....notice how 'apologise' is spelt with a 's' not a 'z' (y)

I know you didn't mean nothing by it. But seriously, I care about Tottenham first and above anything. It's something people here nor in England understand. I mean why would a team in North London consume my life. But it does. For the record I care about the Dutch women's hockey team second and the Patriots third. The only time I get nationalistic is when we do something good in science, so I'll get back to you when that happens in 20 years or the US Swim team due to my son :)

This is my first post. F@ck Dempsey. Couldn't careless too. Spurs does not deserve to be punished with such an average quality player that's nearing the end of his career. Levy proved to be such a noob in this deal and should have anticipated anything from Porto. Last minute deals are never ideal. If one has time, you do the f@cking homework beforehand, not just before the deadline. When will people truly understand this when it matters? : (
How old are you? 12? Sounds like you should be doing your homework. Schools back next week?

Last minute deals are never ideal. Yeah, vdv was shit wasn't he

Who calls people "noobs" these days. Penis

Levy's talents are wasted at the moment. Seen as though he decides on targets, if he could complete his badges he would be one hell of a manager/head coach/DOF/chairman. A one man machine.

Saw some tweets on twitter with regards to Moutinho. I know this is for ITK but not much people on the twitter thread so I'll post it here.

@Gards44 Heard from a half tidy source that its gone through, don't hold me to it though all in the same boat waiting for a phone call!

He reckons that Moutinho has gone through. He say he'll have confirmation in 30-45 minutes

Probably not the best time to mention it, but in hindsight AVB's disinterest in Sahin rankles all the more now (and I do believe that it was AVB's decision rather than Sahin's that saw us miss out on him). I'm not faulting AVB so much as the failure to land his no1 target wasn't his fault, but Sahin would have been the best alternative imaginable (arguably better). Sigh, if we'd worked out what could and couldn't be done earlier.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we still went for Sahin and he turned us down.

Yeah not true regarding the personal terms bit. It didn't fall through because of personal terms, it fell through because of this 3rd party ownership bullshit.

So, not true that it was down to personal terms then. Everything else he's tweeted has been 100% against the deal happening.

Arsenal if they start scoring will be stronger than last season their best signing may be replacing Rice with Bould, I just hope he doesnt bring the Graham training methods with him

I was massively worried about them a few weeks ago. Thought they were shaping up extremely well with some good (in Cazorla's case great) signings and as you say, with Bould coming in I could see them being stronger defensively. Looked like Sahin was nailed on for them as well at that point which worried me deeply. Even with Song sold I could see Wenger's logic as I expected the plan was to replace him with a more disciplined DM such as M'Vila. That would have improved them imo. Hasn't happened though it seems, and they haven't brought in that third forward which should have been a no brainer either. They are now left massively dependent upon Diaby to prop them up in midfield and upon Giroud and Podolski to start scoring goals quickly.

I still give the Arse an advantage over us in competing for fourth as they have a deeper and more settled squad, but we're still in with a shot now at least. With the right signings, like Chelsea, they could have been over the hill and far away. Luckily though Wenger's blown it again. It's about bloody time we finished above those ****s. Come on AVB!

HappySpur, DON'T TREAD ON THIS!

ESPN's homerism in the 2006 World Cup turned me off the US National team something fierce, repulsive stuff. I support Germany since watching their team in 2006 is what got me into football. Hearing my two roommates overjoyed about us signing Dempsey was pretty infuriating while I was seething about losing VDV and missing out on Moutinho and Llorente. You could say I felt like someone had taken a Deuce on me, even.

Out of that context though he's a decent addition, can cover the wings and striker and score goals (something we're sorely lacking in this squad). I'd forgotten how great his strike rate was last season was, though he akes A LOT of shots. He also strikes me a bit Defoe-esque in that he doesn't contribute too much else when he's not scoring but he's a real gamer.

Apparently this @KrissyAldridge7 has a source that is still at the Lodge. Says Moutinho is still possibly on and will know more in 10 minutes when she talks to her source.

Same thing. I used to love the US Nats back in 98 when they were getting piss throw at them in Guatemala and just trying their best. Then the media blitz and the right wing take over of Sams Army and I went Dutch (and I always have a soft spot for the Swedes and Norse). And I did it because of Dennis Bergkamp. That's right....a fucking gooner. But that gooner made me love football in 94 and 98 along with Paul Magath and it's too my credit that despite my love for him, I still fell for Spurs. :)
