Just wanted to add, I have a new found respect for Phil Mickelson, he played the game beautifully and was a class act in defeat and true gentleman

Oh dear, my head is telling me I shouldn't have opened that 3rd bottle of red at 11pm last night

Thankfully my boss bought my story about having a flat car battery so I am WFH today :)

amazing, so amazing. Love that we won and especially the fact that those American 'fans' were cheering every time we made a mistake and then we shut them up! Shut all of my American friends up too!!

The European fans gathered around the 18th green to enjoy the moment. The departing fans taunted by one group with a chant of "10-6 and you fucked it up

Yep there was one occasion, think it was the 16th, when Mickleson applauded Rose's 12 ft putt for a half

It's almost impossible to single anyone out of a magnificent team performance but Rose's performance on the putting green on the last 3/4 holes was unbelievable.

Make what you want of the American fans, but the most classless moment of the entire cup was Olazabal making Molinari and Tiger play out 18. Cup was won at that point, no need to play that out, should have just conceded it to Tiger in the fairway.

Tiger actually showed some class and conceded Molinari's putt to allow it to be over and for him to go celebrate with his teammates.

Jack Nicklaus conceded to Tony Jacklin back in the day when the U.S. had already retained the cup. Payne Stewart conceded to Monty at Brookline when it was won as well. Classless move by Olazabal.

Yep, Rose gets majority of credit for me. He made some absolutely fantastic shots to win his match where as some of the other matches were more due to Americans choking it away. Furyk and Stricker (two captains picks) have majority of blame for U.S. Also, Davis Love III with some really big mistakes. One being that he didn't adjust his final day lineup and used the same one he had decided on weeks before even after being up 10-6 and knowing that Europe would have to front load their lineup to gain some momentum.

This was the biggest choke job by an United States national team in any sport, ever, imo.

Don't agree. The cup was retained at that point. The chance was there to win the thing outright. Which we did. The record books will always show that.

This is BS, we weren't making Mollanari play out once we had already won, we were making him play out the match to see if it was a draw or a win for us.

No it wasn't, it was Kuchar making Westwood putt his tap in. Woods showed no more class than everyone else who had allowed putts of that length to be conceded, which most did, bar Kochar.
