To be fair though there was all sorts of figures being bandied around that started at something like £16m. Looks like Newcastle will pay £8m. Half price is maybe the real level and we might have bought him at that price. Sounds like they were taking us for a ride?

Agree. Its about time we found a cheap gem and with his height who knows. May be able to get his head on a few crosses!

One of those rare times I actually hope Daniel Levy is reading this thread.

A couple of things I noticed that impressed me.. The first thing I noticed was the very first goal in the clip = EXCELLENT technique. In one simple twist of the hips he totally bamboozled the defender AND the 'keeper, then text book finishing by going back across the 'keeper after sending him the wrong way with the previously mentioned technique.. The second thing I noticed was his use of BOTH feet. The excellent long range looping goal (a bit like Bentley's V Le Scum) was scored via a left foot volley then, a bit later on in the clip, he volleys a far-post cross with his right foot..
When you look at options currently available to us, I truly fail to understand where the risk will be for this fella?
