Yesterday I posted:
If not LD, it will be Negredo!
Will try for Willian...
But so far Negredo!
Bentley to midlands...

Option still there for a RM loan option.
May have a last try for Mouts but it looks like Negredo!

A striker from Germany - who? I don't know but I heard Negredo!

Today: If not LD, it will be Negredo! We didn't expect Everton! The other lad failed his medical.
RM option open.
Apparently the reason we wanted Negredo for loan was because we were trying BIG names already mentioned.
Hope JJ, Rebrab and Ryan can clarify.
Thanks for the info Ackie, I am starting to get excited. Again. WHY SPURS, WHY :notworthy:

I truly think both have huge risks involved. I would prefer to wait and go for a better level player in the summer.
BUT I was worried that Holtby may struggle.........so go figure

Better level? Such as? Not sure we could afford or attract a better level.

Did someone here not bump into AVB and the squad, had a chat or something and he said he didn't know/fancy LD? I seem to recall this in the summer.

Am not convinced he is all that.

The Sevilla chairman has been hawking him all over Europe, desperate to sell.

Arsenal and City want another striker so why aren't they after him?

Why aren't they after Leandro then ?

Sevilla are hawking him, because they are skint. He is the more solid purchase to me, better value/less risk, consistent goal scoring rate in a top league of the world, and a style that would suit England. Leandro is smoke and mirrors at this point, could be amazing or could be our most expensive flop ever

IF anything is going on it sounds to me like we're simply waiting to hear from Internacional. The issue is when they decide not to sell and our Plan B's and Plan C's etc. get gobbled up (Negredo to Everton)

they have the same agent as Danny Graham. The agent was in Sunderland finalising that deal, then couldn't take off in the helicopter because of high winds. Sky said he was asking for directions to the train station to get down to QPR.

If this is true, then hopefully a deal can still be done. Getting those two done will open up room for others I think. I can't see how we can repeat the mistakes of last year and not address the weakness in our squad. We haven't won in 4 games, Everton are on the march and Liverpool have strengthened.
I reckon the outgoings hold the key to any signings, squad is not balanced, but is at the limits in terms if numbers. Offloading fringe players will allow us to make the right signings without over committing.
I think Jenas and Bentley will be resolved. Huddlestone, not so sure on. Surprised at Damaio though, since we were haggling over a couple of hundred thousand on Holtby and were only looking at loan to buy on Negredo. Either we really are short of cash, so have we really bid £20 for Damaio, or was Levy just playing hardball on Holtby because he knew he already had him wrapped up, and is reluctant to commit on Negredo because he is deemed not to be an alternative not a first choice option??
