Gomeilt has gone to Espanyol on loan

Yet Mason has gone to Lorient, Pritchard to Peterborough and Falque to Almeria

That would suggest Falque is the worst of the lot, which is shocking imo but good loans for the rest imo

I find it strange that we didn't hold out until the final days to find Falque a loan as we did with most of the others. Clubs getting desperate; I'm sure that we could have found him a better move than a mid-table Segunda division club. He may not be good enough for us but he's at least better than that at this point I think.

The Mason one is highly intriguing. I hope that we haven't seen the last of him at this club.

With Luongo not heading out thus far (still time for lower level clubs right?) I'm slightly hopeful that we might promote him into that third DM spot that Livermore was in possession of prior to the Sandro injury. Actually I think he's already a much better player than Livermore himself but I guess it's unrealistic to expect AVB to take chances on him at this point of the season. Probably headed back off to the Championship.

Im actually happy with that but when compared to Gomeilt it looks shit, as for Falque, he will do well there he was a hit in that league 2 years ago and that was the reason we signed him, They will also likely to get promoted but I agree with you on that statement but strange as I think he is good enough for La liga and he never looked shit in our first team

I hope him and Parrett get some decent championship loans tbh

As you say, Falque has already played a season in the Segunda with Villarreal B and tore it up. He was their star player and got a whole bunch of goals and assists for them. That we're sending him back to that level now, two years later at the age of 23, strikes me as a vote of little confidence. A move to a La Liga or a Championship club (that will use him right) would have been great but he's treading over old water with this move to Almeria. It's not going to prove anything new imo.

Decent point about them challenging near the top though. Hopefully that means they at least have a team that will allow him to showcase himself well (then again I thought that of his move to Southampton last season!).

Indeed I mean there was article of disgust about him in spain a couple of years ago, how a really talented La Masia player was stolen and then not developed properly, that said there are plenty of players that broke in to the first team of a top league team late and became world class

No, has played across the 3 in the 4231 but I think the OS has listed as one of the two the CM/DM spots iirc

Very good player but hard to pin down which isv his best position :

  • He came to us as a Croatian u 16 centre forward
  • He played in a 4231 as the right sided attacking midfield player - but he and Pritchard (playing left attacking mid) often switched wings (The best example of a video is the 7-1 thrashing of Inter MIlan in last season's NextGen Series)
  • He has played as left back for Spurs - an example being a freindly against Loughborough Uni. He looked very good there too.
He's yet to appear on OS, althouygh the loan notice confirmed we had signed him (Croatian press suggested a year ago) - you maybe confusing him with Mios Veljkovic.

Could be interesting to see how he does at Espanyol - and where he plays !

What I meant was in some the last years matches, I think remember him being listed as one of the 2 DM's/CM's in the 4231 formation, that said they do get alot wrong like listing 10 players against southampton and Parrett, also I cant remember but has he played much because I remember a period where he disappeared and as you said hes not on our team site

O/T do you go to Loughborough Uni?

Also Espanyol do have a B team so he may be going there but they are in the Segunda B league - our league 1 equivalent

Surely not, espanyol have only scored 23 goals this season so they'll want to see what he can do?

True, i'd really like to see him in la liga tho
I agree but if look back at our loan history and apply it to this move and he is 17 and instead of loaning to League 1 we decide Spain would be better for him, thats it Im not convinced:)D), as we did the same to Mason, Kane, Carroll and Caulker

Why do people rate Mason so highly, yes he is good on the ball but Spurs don't seem to know what his best position is, he is not strong enough to play CM not fast enough to play on the wing maybe in the hole I don't know?
