We are scraping results, basically becuase GB is scoring goals off his own back.

We have been stale for a while now though. When was the last good team performance?
What is the fix?

For me it's Holtby in behind Adebayor and we haven't functioned as a team since Sandro went down.

dont think we have had a good team performance all season, but then its not a surprise either. New manager, new players, new tactics all take time to come together.

Holtby in behind a striker could be an answer... but CM is still a problem with neither player getting forward or relasing the ball quick enough at times. Could be due o no options further forward as both Verts and Walker have shouted at players for not moving to make options.

Man utd away was a good team performance- yes we were hanging on for a lot of the game but that is the point really- Everyman was battling and did there job to keep the score line at 3-2 . The villa game as well was pretty decent-albeit against crap opposition.

I was very impressed with the performance against United at home. The whole team played well that day and it wasn't just one player creating the chances (although Lennon was awesome).

Villa away.. Although they were really really shite.
But that was only the second half

I think we may have to look longer than a year or two to find our last great team performance over 90 mins, even when we played great against Liverpool last season we let them back in it after they had a man sent off

We haven't played a game with the fluidity and confidence that we did when we were at our best last season.

But that is probably due to a selection of reasons people have mentioned. New coaches, new players etc. Hopefully it all clicks soon ad we start to not just win games, but dominate.

I thought we were great both halves, we just weren't clinical enough in the first. We limited them to chances, dominated possesion and had a few decent chances ourself, not to mention the 16 or so corners..

Actually I was wrong we were good first half but with poor finishing and then in the second half Aston villa started to play well and we got them on the counter

Its a good sign we're able to win games not playing sexy football. We are much more consistant in the league nowadays and IMO not to far from challenging for titles with specialised additions to the starting 11. I'm loving this period of time in our leauge history, anytime we look at the leauge table seeing Tottenham Hotspur within the top 1-6 is great long my it continue.

Fuck sake, its gonna be bleak on here when we loose a couple of games!
Yep. At some point its your expectations that need a looking at and not the performances when you think we've been shit whilst very rarely losing. Great run with only the Everton collapse and Leeds as blemishes.
