Its funny because I was asking myself the same question about Manchester United, they're scraping results bit never seem to dominate teams they don't have the fluidity that had in previous years. Strange isn't it. I don't know maybe its because teams now try to stop us playing maybe they are treating us more like a top team maybe we are having to learn how to deal with that as well as learning new approach with new players and new coaches. Actually how about its all of those things and no strikers worth the name too.

I was about to say the same thing. Similarly, the argument re Bale is just as relevant with them and RVP.

At home to Newcastle last season was the last time i seen us having a real proper attacking performance.

Been a long time really. The quality of our football has dropped by so much it's not even funny. We've been grinding out results for some time now. Pity that doesn't seem to be changing.

we dont look like doing what liverpool are doing at the moment (Scoring 5 in a PL game)

That said, we look a lot stronger in possession of a lead these days.

we are winning and for now until the end of the season, thats all that counts. Lets worry about our attacking fluidity next season in the CL

We still have to play liverpool, arsenal, everton, chelsea, city and stoke (away). Let's hope we can get things rolling again.

We are scraping results, basically becuase GB is scoring goals off his own back.

We have been stale for a while now though. When was the last good team performance?
What is the fix?

For me it's Holtby in behind Adebayor and we haven't functioned as a team since Sandro went down.

I thought we did well against Toon last week, but the last exceptional performance was against Utd 4 PL mateches ago.

I think we miss Sandro, and his ability to oppress and stifle the opposition, as opposed to Parker's harem scarem, Scrappy Doo impression. I like both players, but Sandro offers more containment, and a ore solid base in midfield.

I also think Dempsey has poor movement and considering he's got a reputation for being honest, I think he's a bit of a pussy, and one of the most work-shy of our players, like you I'd go with Holtby without hesitation (AVB won't though).

The amount of negative shit spouted on this site about our team has become an absolute joke!

Since Adebayor's loss of control at Arsenal we have picked up a staggering 31 points from 14 games, yet you pop in here and just read so much negative shit about the owners down including the manager, the team as a unit and just about every single individual player.

It's a tough league that we play in and you don't sit 4th and be in the middle of a run that we are without playing well! It may not always be free flowing pulverising football, but then the opposition are allowed to try and get something from the game as well you know.

Right now we are missing arguably our best central defender and our number one central midfield player, two vital positions and vital players to the team. Yet we are still winning and recently witnessed even Man UTD come to the Lane and play with a very defensive formation because they didn't want to risk opening the game up against us, something that they will only usually do at City!

I'll take tat as a sure sign that the rest of football knows what we are all about, even if it seems that this site seems to heavily feature comments of how poorly we are playing and even more laughably how poor individual players are!
